This is a really nice bird feeder. I appreciate the metal construction and how durable this thing is.. if I were to knock it I’d say it’s very heavy but that’s because of the metal housing. This has stood up to raccoons and squirrels well.. they weren’t able to destroy it.. WiFi range is questionable so you have to keep it some what close to your router. The included solar panel also works very well and keeps the feeder charged day in and day out

Purchased as a gift for my mother. She absolutely loves it. Much to my surprise my dad was over the moon with the simple setup, app navigation, picture/video quality, and mounting options. Only request for improvements is Alexa integration to view on a smart TV. For the cost, OUTSTANDING. If Alexa functionality were available for another $50-75, I would NOT hesitate to purchase 2 more! Just buy it! No subscription required and the shear joy displayed on your loved one's face, MAKES THIS A PRICELESS GIFT, offering hours of fun and excitement!

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems this unit has died after 1 week of use. The solar charging does nothing so the battery ran down completely, powered off and now won’t get back online, no matter what I try. It had a lousy signal strength from the beginning but would at least connect after a few seconds of trying ( most times) and have a laggy image. It’s not too far from my router and the panel was in the sun so I really don’t understand why I’m having these issues. I’ve tried to trouble shoot and make changes but it will not solar charge and it will not go online again so I’m returning this unfortunately. I really wanted this to work because of the the large seed capacity. *edit* 6/4 Update to 4.5 stars… I moved it into a different area, in direct line from the WiFi router, which is near a window so it’s pretty close, like 20 feet distance, now I’m getting good signal. The solar is working also and keeping it charged, now that it is not in a tree. Still knocked off a star/half star because the range is not sufficient. Most people will have a router in a central location inside their home, so you’re realistically looking at 15 feet before you even get outdoors. To require 20 feet or less is limiting where it can be placed. (I got an email from the company about the distance, they recommended 12-15 feet so it would connect) It was also really hard to reconnect after the battery ran down as well, so my advice is to manually charge it before it powers off.

Editing: The merchant reached out to me and we were able to trouble shoot the problem and it connects fine now. Don’t forget to attach the white antenna. It helps with the range! :) updating my review to 5 stars. Has anyone else had problems with the WiFi signal? It will only connect if I’m sitting right next to the router box. But I have full signal on my phone and my doorbell everywhere else and the feeder won’t connect 😭

Works well enough to capture and upload SD 60FPS videos at full length (most of the time) to their cloud. A lot of times they'll cut off at 2 seconds. When upped to 2k video quality, I haven't seen a successful full recording upload. Streaming suffers terrible network stream rate. Can't say I've seen it break 70K/s without crapping the bed. And that's IF it chooses to connect and stream. Took ~5 attempts to update firmware. The plus side, when I do get video stream & recording, I love it. This one offers the most features without having to pay for a subscription. Can get noisy if you allow it to, even at low settings, but I turned off notifications and just check recordings at end of the day. Battery & solar charging have been holding strong.
