I cannot say enough good things about this product! It was easy to set up, takes no time at all, and no maintenance required. It’s solar and I’ve had no charging issues at all! You just refill the feed and get great pictures all day long!

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems this unit has died after 1 week of use. The solar charging does nothing so the battery ran down completely, powered off and now won’t get back online, no matter what I try. It had a lousy signal strength from the beginning but would at least connect after a few seconds of trying ( most times) and have a laggy image. It’s not too far from my router and the panel was in the sun so I really don’t understand why I’m having these issues. I’ve tried to trouble shoot and make changes but it will not solar charge and it will not go online again so I’m returning this unfortunately. I really wanted this to work because of the the large seed capacity. *edit* 6/4 Update to 4.5 stars… I moved it into a different area, in direct line from the WiFi router, which is near a window so it’s pretty close, like 20 feet distance, now I’m getting good signal. The solar is working also and keeping it charged, now that it is not in a tree. Still knocked off a star/half star because the range is not sufficient. Most people will have a router in a central location inside their home, so you’re realistically looking at 15 feet before you even get outdoors. To require 20 feet or less is limiting where it can be placed. (I got an email from the company about the distance, they recommended 12-15 feet so it would connect) It was also really hard to reconnect after the battery ran down as well, so my advice is to manually charge it before it powers off.

The media could not be loaded. I like these Soliom bird feeders so much that I bought two of them — plus the hummingbird feeder! The 2K camera quality is excellent, with sharp, detailed video both day and night. It’s been amazing to capture all the bird activity in such clarity. The setup was simple, and the app works smoothly. I also want to compliment Soliom’s customer service — they are responsive, friendly, and truly stand behind their products. One side of the bird feeder got slightly dented in the mail, so Soliom sent a new one, without my needing to send back the original feeder. Very kind. The feeder works as advertised. The birds like coming to it, so I am getting lots of nice video clips. The only con is that I wish the camera would pick up less movement in the yard, such as people walking by. Overall, really nice product!
