I have these adhered to a small stepping stone path out in my backyard. So far, 90% of them are still stuck on there, however, there are a few of them that have come unstuck already. These are pretty much "set and forget." Being solar powered, they turn themselves on and off. These are great for highlighting the pool when all the lights are off. no worries of accidentally finding the pool. My only gripe is one of the adhesives didn't take well. Possibly something on my pool edge or maybe a faulty piece of adhesive. The others have not moved since installed. I used a piece of double sided foam tape. Issue resolved. ... show more

This 8 pack of Solar Pool Side Lights is just what I needed to light up my deck steps. They are easy to install. Hubby had them mounted in a matter of minutes. Pull the tab and they are automatically turned on. No need for an on/off switch. They also change colors automatically. You can't change the colors yourself. I got these to put on my fence along my driveway. When I received them I was surprised at the size, I had expected them to be about twice the size they are. I first I was not sure about using them, but decided anyway. They are extremely simple to install on a wood fence. You just put them on the top edge, put 2 screws in each and pull the battery tab. It took about 10 minutes to install all 8. After installing them they are working fine and doing what a wanted them to do. That is highlight fence from the edge of the driveway. These solar step lights are a nice design and put out decent light for their size. However, one of the lights does not seem to work (as seen in the night pictures). Despite that, they seem to last a while throughout the night (from nightfall to at least when I go to bed, so at least about 6-7 hours). Since first putting them on the fence in a row to show them off, I've spread them out a bit on various parts of the fence, and I also have about three of them on the fence above where my pool pump and filter are. Just those three small lights are sufficient to let me see enough of the pump when I might need to switch it on temporarily at night. I haven't yet mounted them yet and just have them laying on the top of the fence panels, but they've stayed so far. I realize I should really secure them, however, as if the wind picks up, they'd likely fall off. Overall, these are pretty nice step/deck lights, and I imagine that they'd be even better when using them on stairs - I just don't have any outside steps to put them on, else I'd use them there. UPDATE: I was able to fix the one light that wasn't working by looking inside and noticing that the jacket of the rechargeable battery had partly come off and was blocking the connection between the + side of the battery and the terminal, so when I took out the battery and pulled off the loose pieces of the jacket and then re-seated it, the light started working. ... show more

Easy to mount with a 90-degree angle. I used silicon to hold it down on cement but if you install it on wood the hardware provided will work well. The lights are a mellow yellow when they come on and depending on how much sun they receive during the day, the brighter it will be at night. I have not had an issue with them not coming on at night some are brighter than others due to location. ... show more
