Have been using these spot lights to accent some trees in our yard. They work good, not super bright, but they do cast enough light to highlight the trees. After a cloudy or rainy day they will not last very long. In the summer with longer days and bright sunlight, they can last all night long. Simple to use.     • Bright lights for sidewalks

I installed the Satucol solar spot lights a few days ago and let them charge over a day before turning them on. Once I got them on and it got dark, they lit up my sidewalk nicely. They put out a lot of light, so I turned them down to make them last longer. I don't know what time they go off, but they were still about half strength at midnight after being on 7 hours. They are bright enough for my wife to walk around and feed the cats in the evening and to go check her fire pit after coming in for the night. Installation was easy. I put the light head on the mount and the spike for the ground on the other end and stuck them in the ground. You can adjust the angle of the light to aim down, if this doesn't keep the sunlight from being able to charge them. You can also turn them left and right after pushing them in the ground, instead of needing to pull them up to adjust the angle. The light switch is conveniently located on the back of the light. Press one for on, two to turn down intensity, and 3 to turn off. These lights are a nice addition to my yard and make getting down the sidewalk a lot safer. ... show more

Someone left a couple of solar spotlights in the vacant lot across from us and we tried them out in our own yard. We really liked the look of them, so I decided to get us a set of our own. These lights are great. The solar panel is large, but this pays off in the brightness of the light at night. There is a rubber-covered switch underneath and you can click it for three settings - Off, Bright, and Less Bright. I imagine the spotlight would last more hours if it were turned to Less Bright, but I have them all set to Bright. After a day of charging, the lights come on at dusk and stay on until dawn. The lights are not so large as to look out of place during the day. I have the extra extender piece attached between the stake and the light. This means they are fully assembled so they are taller than their surroundings, but you have other options. There are screws to install just the light and solar panel onto a wall, fence, deck, etc., or you could just place the light directly onto the stake. I set one up in the dry river rock bed in front of our house and it immediately added "curb appeal" when we looked at it from the street. I have included a picture of how bright the single light was after one day of solar charging. I have put the remaining five lights at other bends in the river and they have made this feature look so much better. ... show more
