They worked great for the temporary need I had for them. I like that you can tilt the solar panel in the direction you want to as well as the direction of the light. The light it gives off is pretty strong. I had them pointing up to my palm trees and it looked great. Unfortunately one broke while adjusting the light so it would not stay in place but it did not come that way. ... show more

EDIT: I guess these not a lot more clear, direct sunlight than I had expected. We had been getting a lot of mostly cloudy days during the time I wrote this review. However, after getting a few days of good sun, these have been back to working well. Review has been adjusted to 5 Stars. Just keep in mind that these may not work consistently throughout Northern US winters. However, for the price, still worth it. I was initially really excited about these lights. The combination of price, features (choose from multiple colors and brightness options) and the fact that they’re solar powered was a great hook. Unfortunately, they worked for a total of 3 weeks before one of them pretty much stopped working - almost as if the battery can’t hold a charge anymore. It’ll turn on for a short period of time, then turn off. I’ve tried cleaning the panel of any dust and shining a light on it, which gets it to turn on for about 10 seconds, but then it dies again. I’ve tried calling the seller’s customer service phone number, but no one picks up. In summary, these lights showed a ton of promise with all their features and attractive price point...but none of that matters if they stop working after a few weeks. ... show more

UPDATE: 12 Sept 2022 I am dropping this review down to 1 star because now out of 6 lights, I have 4 that will not stay on the selected color. There is some fundamental flaw in these lights that causes this. It looks like I will need to send all of them back due to this problem. I've owned them less than 45 days, terrible quality control. ORIGINAL REVIEW I got 6 of these lights and the main reason I selected these particular lights was because they were RGB. I planned to stay with white for most of the year then around the holidays (Christmas, 4th of July, Halloween) change them to more interesting colors. One of the lights will no longer stay on white and I have owned all 6 for less than 30 days. Also, they do not stay lit all night, they die at different times during the night and around 1AM, less than 5hrs after sunset they are all dead. They get over 8hrs of direct sunlight all day so I know charging is not the problem. Also, I am already prepared to replace the batteries in less than a year. They use really cheap batteries which are behind the solar panels so cheap batteries combined with baking in the sunlight all day means they won't last long. Quality replacement batteries are almost as expensive as the whole kit ($15 for a pair) so be prepared to buy expensive batteries every year. I only gave these two stars because you can move the solar panel away from the light to an area where it will get more sun, they are pretty bright, and the RGB function is nice, but its clear that longevity will be a problem. ... show more

For cheap lights they work pretty well. We’ve had them for 5 months now and they’re still going strong. Easy to change the colors and you can “dim” them. Love changing the colors for the holidays. I wish the actual lights were made with stronger plastic though, my kid snapped a piece off while trying to push it into the grass. Easy fix with super glue though. I would buy again! ... show more
