Love these lights. Have them just on the ground around our landscaped area which is a small wall with rock, so not really where they would be in the way of cutting the grass. Really look nice. So far they have held up with the rain. I did bring them in recently when they were predicting snow since I didn't want them to sit there covered in snow (plus, you wouldn't be able to see the light even if they did light). Lights are easy to spot from a distance and great esthetic. Though quality is a little underwhelming, they give you one extra spike gor planting into ground. The “legs” which attach to the bottom of the light pods and drive into the ground to hold them in place are extremely flimsy. I live in the PNW where the ground is always super saturated in winter, and seven out of ten of the lights have already broken their little stands/legs just from trying to gently insert into the ground. So for now, the lights are just sitting on the ground until I can find something different. The light is pretty and soft, but not sturdy enough to keep. ... show more

The plastic fins are delicate and you need to make an adequate hole rather than putting pressure on the fins when locating them. One of our first box is faulty, it stays on all the time.
