I am really surprised at how much power and good performance these fans put out. I did purchase three 18650 batteries if I decide to use the fans after the sun goes down, but they batteries don't recharge during the day when they solar is running and if they do I haven't figured it out... but I like the option and the batteries I purchased came with a charger... I'm like how easy it is to install the fans and how I hear no noise when running them with the solar...I actually have to look and feel the air movement to know they are running. It really helps keep the temperature down with the good air flowing for the small area I use them for. ... show more

Air flow surprisingly good from two 4.7" computer type fans. They run at full speed when the panel is in direct sun. Also comes with a battery case that uses three lithiun cells (not included) but looks like it has a chip for charge control. Did not use the vattery case yet.

UPDATE: SERIOUSLY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Item was returned. It doesn't function quite like described & there is absolutely no way for it to run at night unless you keep the fans off all day & flip a switch at night & even then, only lasts maybe 3 hours. The extension cable is NOT meant for outdoor use. Overall, this thing is trash. Found a far better one, albeit, more expensive, that works fabulous!!!!! I just got this going, but I can see a couple issues - only 1 side of the Y cable has a weather proof cap, the other side does not. The extension cable included can work, but again, there is no weather proof cap. Without weather proof caps, the panel & battery pack MUST be pulled prior to rainy weather, unless another cable is purchased & even at that, still not sure that will do the trick. Not exactly sure how this works with the battery pack at night & won't know until I get the cable situation functioning & there still may be an issue because there is an on/off switch located on the Y cable, but it will shut off both the solar panel & battery pack. I need this to function at night more than day & as far as I can see, unless it's switched off during the day & only used at night with the battery pack, won't work for both day & night & really just wanted something to set & go, not having to turn switches on & off. The engineering wasn't well thought out. Noise level is louder than expected & hope it's not disturbing to the chickens at night if I can make it function at night. Had hoped to be able to add a thermostat to this, but the way it's wired, without cutting wires, there no way to add. ... show more

Either I didn’t get what was pictured or the package was incomplete. The solar panel power the fans with decent speed. But mine was missing the stand. Instructions were not for the items in the box, leaving out key details for some parts. The cord connectors were squished. When I went back to review the listing a few days after purchase, the listing was for a different variety of the product than what I ordered. Beware. ... show more

Bought this just to experiment with solar energy and am very impressed for the price. I measured the output at 11AM on a fall day and got 11 watts at 12V. Suspect that on a bright summer day could get 15 watts. Have seen 15 watt solar panels alone for more than the price of this, and this also comes with 12V fans and battery box for three 18650 lipo cells(batteries not included :). The battery box has what appears to be a 10 amp 12V lipo protection circuit. Comes with a cord to plug it into the solar panel. Haven't tried it, but if you plug the solar panel to the "in" on the battery box and plug the fans into the out on the battery box should be able to charge and run the fans at the same time. ... show more
