Most brands require a considerable break in time before they're comfortable – not the case with these. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on and remain so. All other sandals that I have purchased have caused some sore spots on my feet after wearing them for a extended period of time – these have not-- what a pleasure. They are all synthetic and waterproof and have been a real delight to wear; so far, traction has been good, but I'm not a terrifically athletic person that does a lot of hiking in hazardous areas. So far, they wear well and after months, show almost no deterioration. If I ever need more, I will buy these for sure. They fit pretty sturdy and you’re able to move well with them. The comfort is ok not the best. I would recommend them if you need a good pair of strap sandals. Size fit is true I’m a size 13 ordered 13 and the fit well.
