The camera was easy to install and seems to charge well on solar, despite not getting much direct sunlight. The image is clear. I have it close to the house, so range is not a problem. It uses 2.4g because that frequency has longer range. Make sure your router can support 2.4g. Many routers allow you to create a 2.4g channel. The app is a bit cumbersome. Time on the camera is easy to set according to phone time, but when the app gives notifications, they display a totally different time: am when it should be pm. I see no way to change this. Entering the camera controls is not intuitive. When you see the camera's last image, click on the play button in the middle of the image. When the live image comes on, click on the box in the bottom right. That will give you the camera controls, where you can move the camera. You can also same camera positions for later use. The camera can be activated by any movement or person detection. ...no false alarms so far. If the unit behaves differently in colder weather, I will update.

I love how fast the alerts are. The moment the camera detects movement, I get a notification almost instantly. This allows me to act quickly if there's any suspicious activity. The camera doesn’t trigger false alarms either—only relevant movement gets flagged, so I never have to worry about unnecessary notifications. I always wanted a camera that was unattended from my house at got a good angle of the back of my home. Well with this baby that is now possible. Since this is wireless with two large antennas it has no issues connecting to my home wifi. Another plus is this camera comes with a solar pannel to keep the battery charge. So no need to swap out batteries after a month unlike the other camera brand. For the price you cant go wrong.

Great pictures (driveway photos* are night and day with no added lights). Signed into the app easily but found without SD card or paid subscription app, videos are not automatically stored. Set-up was easy. Connecting to the WiFi too, password protected. Mounts screws were so cheap the drives stripped but there were no other problem putting up the camera and solar panel. *See review screenshots

The DIDseth Solar Security camera is not too bad. At least in the daylight. The night vision is really bad. I’m not sure why but there appears to be dust all over the lens. You can see it in the screen shots I took. Set up was mostly painless but it took me a while to figure out how to connect to the camera. During the setup process you have to join the cameras wifi network to register it. After it was up and running my phones wifi somehow got turned off (I didn’t do it, I swear) and once I turned it back on I was able to connect to the camera. The software is pretty self explanatory and I was able to figure out how to operate the camera in a couple minutes. One problem I have is that when I tap the down button on the PTZ control the camera acts like I’m holding it down and promptly aims itself at the ground below the camera. Kind of annoying so I try not tap the down button. Installation was simple. I didn’t use the included screws though. The screws included with just about everything that needs mounting just plain suck and I usually strip one or two out during the installation process. I used some Torx screws I had laying around. You should always have Torx screws on hand! I installed the camera and solar panel on my deck hoping to spot some wildlife. The included in the box list, listed a charging cable. The only one included is the one connected to the solar panel so I had to use my own cable for the initial charge. It’s an okay camera. The video quality is fine during the day but as I said the night vision is not good. The box states that the video is HD. For the price it’s okay, as I said. There are probably better options out there however.
