I previously tried some solar zappers as shown on the left of the pic of this on the little table but those despite being 4 of them never managed to actually kill practically anything. They were strong enough to kill but not draw them in. So I wanted to try this out since it's so much larger. As shown in the other pic it clearly works. That pic is a night's worth of dead bugs. However it works to bring them in more than it works to kill them. At least if you live in the country like I do anyways. In the city it might be different but I can't say for sure. What I wanted was something to put on or around that table which is in front of my deck chair. This definitely doesn't work for that. lol I sat down out there and in less then a minute I had ten zillion bugs on me. That was certainly "fun." It actually made things magnitudes worse. Moving the zapper didn't help because they were still teaming around the chair. The next night though after it was placed on the far side of the deck was waaaay better. Which could be accomplished if I just put out some lights over there to attract them that way instead of around me. So if you live in the country you might want to just look into some simple lights instead. But if you're in the city or somewhere else that isn't teaming with insects like indoors, than this should work out well for you. Which is why I decided to still 5 star this. It clearly draws in bugs. It clearly kills them. It charges good with its large solar panel and it lasts all night. The handle that splits in half to double as a stand, works well. So despite it not working out for killing enough around me to keep them off. It does work to help keep them off me as a deadly for them distraction if placed far enough away. So I'm still happy enough with this.

I put this bug zapper out three nights in a row with the blue light that is suppose to kill mosquitoes and not one was in the trap all three nights. Our area is heavy with mosquitoes. Got one moth and that was it.
