I've used one of these for about six months and it's still good. I've also just received two more so, first the good: Cute, decorative, and inexpensive. The solar light is relatively bright., especially when feeder is only partially filled. The outer finish remains nice. Many birds love it and the squirrels don't. It's easy to fill. Then the bad: In any significant rain the contents get wet and can be ruined. If wet contents are not removed promptly and become a gooey mess, the feeder is difficult to clean. The water receptacles are a joke. So why did I rate it so highly? I accept the limitations in exchange for the decorative appeal. I feed critters daily, so it's no problem to limit the amount of food in it based on the weather outlook. I've other feeders appropriate for birds with other needs and preferences. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have multiple solar feeders which are so beautiful at night. I live by the woods and they light everything up. This feeder is on the smaller size but mighty. The birds are attracted to it. The detail in the metal is really nice and its colorful. To fill the feeder just pop up the solar panel at the top and pour your seeds down the center, put the solar panel back in and you’re ready to go. The feeder is easy to use and clean as well. They are pretty - copperlike but not real copper. My songbirds love them. I hung four feeders from stakes over my deck and over the brook that runs underneath the deck. The solar feature is wonderful. There is a small solar square on the top of the feeder that you pop off, turn the solar feature on, fill the feeder and then put the solar square back on. The thing you need to know is that with solar feeders, if you fill them to the top, you won't see the light at night. The light shines down into the feeder, so fill them half full or less to get the best night effect. This is just one of those little joys that bird lovers and people who appreciate the magic of springtime can enjoy. ... show more

I thought they were really cute so I bought 2. The only problem is they only lit up at night for about a month and then I had to keep pushing the button in the back to turn then after another month the button wouldn't even turn them on. They are sturdy and there a cute decoration but the reason I bough them is because they light. If you like them for decoration there fine but not for lighting up at night. ... show more

This bird feeder looks great in person and the birds love it. It’s easy to fill with seeds …you just pop up the “lid” which is also the solar panel on top. Not sure how long it will hold up in the outside weather but it seems like a good product for the price!
