Wanted to be more “energy-efficient” by using a this solar powered aerator (in addition to a plugged in pump and canister filter for my quarantine tank in my garage). Overall it’s performed surprisingly well in the 2+ months I’ve had it. The tubing was a sufficient length at first, but I decided to get more airline tubing to attach the extra air stones that came with it around the tank. The only gripe I had is that it tends to work consistently on full sunny days. Cloudy days are a hit or miss (will spurt episodically) and during early morning before sunrise and while the panel’s covered by a shadow tends to also cause inconsistent performance. But overall I would say it’s one of the better solar powered pond devices and would probably look at getting another one in the future. Note: there’s no battery for this, so don’t expect it to run throughout the night.

I installed this aerator for my pond today. Easy to assemble. Worked right away when I put in water. I also like that it has 3 color coded speeds. Don't know how long this will last, but hope it will for a while. The hose part is very long and I assume can be cut to length. Would recommend.

I love how this works and it's very easy to set up. Very good quality. Doesn't take long to charge. The bubbles are very strong. This is a carefree air bubbler. Great price.

Did not work and looked used! Sent back for replacement. New one worked for less then a day. Charged it for 2 days without use to see if that would work. Nope! Had to pay to return a not working item. Don't waist your money!

As long as you put it in a sunny spot it works great, going strong at month number 5 installed in the fish pond.

This little solar powered aeration kit will work for small bodies of water. Birdbaths and small water features of less than 100 gallons or so would likely be the limit. It only runs only with sunlight shining on it as there is no battery system with this kit. You could add one in order to try to increase the length of time it runs but that might really call for a larger solar panel as this small one it sized only to power the air pump and not do more than just that. For small aeration needs this can work. The air pump won't push water much deeper than a couple of feet so it works better at shallower depths. The components will likely last longer if kept out of the sun and rain, except for the solar panel. I am guessing this kit will only last thru a couple to a few seasons before something wears out. 4 stars.
