The media could not be loaded. My cats are very entertained by this little gadget. I have 4 cats, and it appears that any more than 2 cats playing with it isn't likely because it gets too crowded - so I will have to buy another one! It takes 3 AA batteries and comes with 2 replacement butterflies and only 2 AA batteries (why not 3?!). I bought a 6-pack of replacements of butterflies in addition, just in case, for $9. They stop and bite at the butterfly and wire but if I am there to monitor to prevent them from destroying it, they could last a while. As for motion detection and remote control - there are neither of those present... there is just one on/off button and that's it. You push it turn it on, push it to turn it off.

This toy is so much fun for our kitten. She really hunts the butterfly. We have to put it out of sight or she would play with it constantly. She got it for Christmas and has already destroyed one of the butterflies. It's a good thing it comes with 2.

My cats love it! They sometimes play with it together. Sometimes by themselves. Hours of entertainment for them. I need more batteries I think. 😆 It came with a total of 2 butterfly sticks. I don't know why they described it as "refill", making it sound like you get a total of 3. It does make a sound but nothing terrible. The sounds come from the fluttering butterfly and the base of the butterfly attachment. Without the butterfly attachment, the motor runs quietly. Neither cat was bothered or scared by the sound.

The media could not be loaded. My cat absolutely adores this. From the minute I turned it on, he went zooming to pounce and play. He did rip a wing off of the butterfly within the first week of having it, but I think that's more on his destructive tendencies rather than the product quality. If you want a toy that helps keep your cat engaged, this is definitely a great find.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a hit in my house with all 3 cats! Had it for about week and so far so good. I like that it came with a couple of replacements because my cats have already done some decent damage to them. It’s holding up with my pretty aggressive players as well!

Mine only came with one butterfly - no spares. Other than that, no complaints. It was fun to watch my cats play with it. Even when my big cat caught the butterfly it didn't damage the toy or the operation of it. I'd recommend this product.
