As time has gone on the pencil is held in looser and looser every day but I think that would happen with any case that doesn't have an actual strap to hold the pencil in. I like the design on the outside and it hasn't started to fade, crack, or wear at all as of now. It cleans easily with a damp paper towel or bleach wipe. I had another one of these but in black and by ancient company. It didn’t last long due to fading but so far this is holding up fine and if I have to buy another one I won’t be upset just because it’s been holding up for a while. Would definitely buy again but in a different color
