I have been using this bed for about a year now and would recommend for child or adult. I am a "plus" size woman and have had no issues with the bed. We did put a sheet of plywood over the pieces that would hold the mattress just to add some support. And put plywood on the trundle part to use it for storage. Wasn't too difficult to put together. I like the shelves, but I do wish there were doors on at least the sections at the front of the bed. My pillow kind of pushes into the front shelf, so it doesn't fit right and I have to move it back. I had my husband put something about a third of the way up on a couple of the sections because smaller stuff (like my phone) would fall on the floor and I would have to struggle to get my arm in between the mattress and the shelf to get whatever dropped. All in all, I would definitely recommend this and would buy it again if I ever needed another one. ... show more

    • Needs a drill and has 'load bearing' brackets - bed with desk

Some of the boards were warped and the desk was very scratched but it was cheap. However, the instructions are insane. The design uses screws where it shouldn't and some pages are not possible as described as they assume dowls hold multiple shevels in place at a time. Some of our dowl holes were drilled wrong. Part number 25 didn't have deep/bigger holes despited need special 'Y' peg. Another was in the wrong spot so if you used it the shelf would block the backboard tracks. Nothing was drilled and this uses over 20 brackets, including to hold up the desk. Two single little brackes to do the side of a actually surprisinglty sturdy desk top. Not sure if I regret it or warn you away. If you have a drill, some finishing nails and a few screws plus the courage/experince to figure it out on your own then the final product is very sturdy. ... show more

We love this bed! We upgraded my son to a big boy bed and it’s perfect. The bed is sturdy, functional, stylish and super cozy. We love the extra storage since our space is limited. It took my husband and I about 6 hours to put together but it was totally worth it. We haven’t put the trundle together yet, but I’m sure it’s great too. Would recommend! ... show more

The shipping was fast, the product was hard to put together, some of the boards were warped. needed to use additional screws to assemble (found extra in the house). Some of the instructions did not make sense. My grandson does like the look of his new bed.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect fit for most ages. The gray color goes with everything in the room. Fit two mattresses and easy to store away the second bed underneath the first. Perfect for sleep overs. The storage around the bed allows the kids to have easy access to their favorite things.

    • Not good for thick carpet.

I do not recommend this bed if you have thick carpet. The wheels on the trendal bed are very small and don't move on carpet well. I feel this is best on wood or lanolium flooring. The rest of the bed is great in my household.
