This yarn is a beautiful deep green, a little prone to splitting when crocheting but not badly. The thread size is a nice medium weight, as indicated, and works up nicely. It is soft, seems durable, and knots well without shredding under pressure. I'm using it to make a granny square afghan, white daisies with yellow centers on this deep green background. I think it will look like a summer field. Since I haven't finished the afghan yet I don't know how well it will wash, but it is very similar to other yarn of that size and feel that I have put through both the washer and dryer, and it has done well. If anything, washing makes this type of yarn even softer to the feel.

I think one of the reviews on here about some customers not being very experienced might be correct. This is some of the softest, silkiest yarn I've ever used. I bought this back around Halloween, and made a hat for my 5-year-old, who wanted to be the orange Rainbow Friend. This yarn was perfect. The color is such a good match (at least, on my phone) that I was able to match it with the rest of his outfit. It's also so soft and comfortable that he never took it off throughout Trick-or-Treat and even wears it to school now. I also did NOT find any knots in it - at all - and I turned the skeins into balls. I typically use the Caron Simply Soft for hats or anything that is going to be touching skin, because it's more silky and the stitches don't cause itching or discomfort. Well, while I think it's very similar, I actually think it's BETTER than the Caron Simply Soft, because it seems like it's more tolerable to areas that may sweat - like the forehead. This is going to be my new go-to for wearable crochet projects. I don't know how there are so many negative reviews unless, like another reviewer said, those who bought it aren't very experienced at crochet or knitting.

This is very good yarn and feels very soft with a finished product. It does split a little when you’re crocheting. So you have to be somewhat careful to make sure that you’re collecting all the threads. But otherwise I would buy this again in the various colors. Color seems to be true to the item pictured.

went with a mid-range rating bucause the yarn is a beautiful color and super soft. however it unravels incredibly easily, I was constantly having to "retwist" the strands as they separate continuously. not recommend for crocheting at all

This yarn is very soft and the color is beautiful. However, the yarn splits like crazy. I am crocheting an afghan with it and continuously have to pull out stitches to go back and pick up loose threads that have separated from the strands.
