I've wanted to start embroidering socks for years as a way to expand my embroidery business, so I was excited to finally try this hoop kit. There was definitely a bit of a learning curve at first, but once I figured out how to adapt it to work with the hoop on my embroidery machine, it became a really useful addition to my setup. The biggest advantage is consistent positioning. Trying to embroider small items like socks without a dedicated fixture can be frustrating, and this makes lining everything up much easier. After a few practice runs, I was getting repeatable results with far less trial and error. The kit includes adult and children's sock fixtures along with stabilizer sheets, which is a nice value. Everything feels well made, and once it's set up correctly, it holds the socks securely during stitching. I do think someone with a professional multi-needle embroidery machine would appreciate this even more than I do. I've been shopping for a commercial machine for years, and I can only imagine how much faster and easier sock production would be with one paired with this system. That said, even on my home embroidery machine, it has proven to be well worth the effort. If you're new to sock embroidery, don't get discouraged if it takes a little experimenting to get everything dialed in. Once you understand the setup, it becomes a genuinely helpful tool that opens the door to adding personalized socks to your product lineup. For anyone looking to grow their embroidery offerings, I think it's an excellent investment.

~This is a great tool that I did not know existed. Know that I know, I can fun with it. ~Enclosed in this package are two same sized tools and one tool for small socks. Stabilizer sheets and an instruction sheet so one can be set up for success. ~This embroidery tool will enable the user to put décor on socks easily. ~The first thing I did was forget to use the stabilizer sheet. My thread then proceeded to bunch up because of the elasticity of the socks. Once I restarted with the sheet backing, I immediately had success. Do not attempt to do this with out the stabilizer sheet. It helps keep the sock from stretching out as it is being stitched. These sheets can be commonly found wherever sewing accessories are in the store. ~There are a few things that one needs to remember to think about in advance. How is the design going to show on the finished product? Such as with the socks, is the cuff up or down? One needs to think this through so that the stitching shows up properly on the sock. Depending on which one chooses, will depend on hos the tool is attached. One also needs to make sure that the sock is turned inside out prior to attaching the tool and then make sure one is stitching with the proper side up. I cannot stress enough to do some practice first on stray socks. ~This tool is good for gloves as well. ~My demo was done on a regular sewing machine that has pre-installed embroidery stitches. ~The price is slightly on the higher end compared to its competitors. ~For those who are into embroidery and want to expand into another area with this type of stitching, I definitely recommend this tool.

Simple product, but it works exactly as intended. It holds the fabric securely without being difficult to position, and it makes embroidery on curved items like socks much easier than trying to hold everything by hand. Easy to use and does the job well.
