Well written and enjoyable to read. Having first used Dr Bronner's maybe 40 years ago and knowing some of the history, it was nice to learn the true history. And then to learn the science behind soap, all the recipes for use and continuing the legacy of quality. Wonderful!

This was at the top of my Christmas wish list and is one of my favorite books to read. It is very informative and eye opening on things that I haven't thought of before. The book has given me a better sense of awareness on the products that I want to use in my home to keep my family safe. The book was such a fun read too and gave me a few chuckles, which was unexpected since I thought it was just a book about soap but it's so much more. I admit I haven't read this book yet... I just received it and have only had a chance to flip through the pages, stopping several times to read a page or two. I will be delving into it in the coming days but I just had to say that the information contained in this book seems to be very thorough and it is so interesting! I never expected it to be such a hefty book, considering the limited subject matter of natural cleaning solutions, but the author goes into the science and reasoning behind her recipes and it is so helpful. Just an all-around great book for anyone wanting natural solutions to the endless dangerous chemicals they are exposed to every day. I can't wait to dive in and read some more! ... show more

    • Very Practical Resource
I have gotten back on track using Dr. Bronner's products. This is an especially well written and practical book. I am still reading and re-reading it. I not only use Dr. Bronner products for personal use, but household use. This not only discusses their products, but what to look in other products.
