I picked up this soap making advent calendar for my niece and nephew because I wanted to try something different from the usual chocolate countdowns. Honestly, it turned out to be way more fun than I expected. Each day they opened a little door to find something new for the soap project, whether it was a mold, a fragrance, or a colorant. The excitement built up pretty quickly, and it kept them engaged all December. The kit comes with everything you need, so I didn’t have to run around buying extras, which I appreciated. The instructions were simple enough for the kids to follow with just a little help. Some soaps came out looking more “creative” than perfect, but that was part of the charm. The fragrances were nice without being too strong, and the finished soaps actually held up well. From a parent’s perspective, I liked that it mixed fun with learning. The kids got hands-on experience with colors, scents, and shapes while also practicing patience. Clean-up wasn’t bad either, which is a win in my book.
