I thought my Soanny rug got misplaced in shipping -- Alexa told me that it had arrived, but nothing seemed to match the size of my 3 x 5 area rug. 🤣 Ahhh, the modern age of shipping and its vacuum sealing. If you look at the attached photos, you'll see see how it looked upon arrival -- a textured brick of shag dressed in plastic wrap. A moment after cutting open one end of the package, however (this moment also captured in the photos), it was already breathing itself back to life. After 20 minutes, the next photo shows it as being thin and wrinkled, but still growing. At this point I wondered at how effective this would actually be as a rug, considering how thin it was. And shouldn't shag be fluffier? Isn't that the idea? Still, I thought, for the cost, what did I really expect? Fast forward to a few weeks later (seen in the last two photos) and you can see what the finished product looks like. Now THAT is shaggy. And soft! So, so soft! It's an absolute joy for bare feet on a winter morning. Of course, my puppy likes it a little too much, so I had to find a new home for it before she destroyed it -- so I actually folded it into 1/4 its size and am currently using it as a seat cushion for my computer chair (disclaimer: this is decidedly NOT a prescribed use of this rug and may decrease its longevity). Once the dog is older and can resist her impulses, I very much look forward to placing the rug back on the bedroom floor. Visually, the rug has a pleasant mottled grey pattern to it, like something you might find on an imaginary wild animal out of Jim Henson's world -- fun, but not loud. And lastly, as for criticisms ... well, it is still a bit thin for a rug, but not nearly as much as at first it seemed. And to put a positive spin on it, being thin makes spills easier to deal with when there's less material to absorb fluids. Overeall, I am pleased with this item and glad I ordered it.

My 7 year old daughter absolutely loves this rug. I actually really like it too, I noticed that when my toddler wanted to play with his toys that he really liked to sit on this rug. He kept gravitating to it so it must be comfortable to sit on. It's incredibly soft and I don't notice any fibers falling off. It's really lightweight and easy to shake off and vacuum. I haven't tried washing yet but it's definitely lightweight enough to throw in the washer. The color choices are so great! We went with a purple and blue one and I think any child would be ecstatic to have this in their rooms. I also love the idea of this in a space for someone who has unique and funky taste! I can imagine this under a cute bean bag chair and lava lamp in a reading corner. I do think the price is slightly high, the quality is that of a five below or Walmart kids item. I personally think this should be about ten to fifteen dollars. I also think that you should REALLY NOTE that the product photos show a much larger rug, this is a 3x5 so it's more fitted for under a desk.
