These glass storage containers are made from high quality Pyrex glass and their lids are plastic with rubber gaskets. They do a great job sealing our air and keeping foods fresh. We use all different sizes and shapes for our food storage needs. Sometimes if you bang the plastic lids a certain way or they’ve been in the freezer, they may become a little brittle and could crack at the edges or lips on occasion. I love this product. It is a completely air and water tight container made of sturdy glass. Its also compatible with microwaves and I believe standard ovens (have not tried this yet). Its environmentally friendly since you do not need to use endless amounts of wrap that ends up coming off in any case. Since it is air tight food stays fresh and does not pick up smells from other food in the frig. I have about 8 different versions of this product and all of them work as expected. I love snap ware. This piece came in with one snap down broken. The shipping box was not damaged. I can't return or get a refund as it keeps telling me to go to seller and seller tells me to go to Amazon. I am going to keep it since it is still fine as a storage container, but I would not trust it with only 3 snaps for being airtight/leak proof. ... show more
