Bought two of the 21-inch mowers, and 3 of the 4-amp batteries. We are in our early 70's and thought that pushing a electric mower would help keep us in shape. Mowers are lighter than gas powered, and I don't have to deal with gasoline, oil, spark plugs, air filters and oil changes. We have to cut early in the morning while the grass is wet with dew due to the summer heat here in Tennessee. The mowers cut through the tall wet grass. I have to hold open the spring-loaded discharge chute with a bungee cord to help avoid grass blockage. The mowers work mostly on high RPM, and we recharge the batteries as they run out of juice. We manage to cut the yard without stopping to wait for recharging batteries due to having 3 batteries. The cutting blade is thin compared to gas powered blades, and I check it when I hit a stone, and I keep both blades sharp at the start of the mowing season and throughout. I do occasionally place the batteries back on the charger in the winter, but they always indicate fully charged. We have not had the problems others had posted. We are pleased with the performance of these mowers and batteries. ... show more

There are two identical versions of this model but for this one I did not like that there was no mention this was not power driven version. The other version mentions it as Step Sense Automatic Drive System.

I purchased the mower, blower, chainsaw, weedwhip, edger attachment, snow blower 2 chargers and 3 batteries and the batteries just jeep failing?? Very upset that the batteries just stop working all the sudden. Now I have 5 tools and only 1 working battery because another just suddenly stopped working for no reason. I keep them stored properly, charged properly and take care of the products I purchase. The battery quality is crap! Very disappointed that I now have to figure out a solution. Tried contacting Snapper with no success and no follow up support and I'm just pissed off. The tools are great but they need some type of warranty process for the battery issue they have. Runs for a minute, shuts off, alarm sounds. Zero mention of alarm in user manual, so don't know what it means. This is with fully charged battery. Believe it to be loose connection at battery housing. have not had time to attempt repair.

After 3 years of use I would not buy these tools again. I purchased a mower, trimmer, and blower. The main issue is faulty batteries. 6 yes 6 BAD BATTERIES IN 3 YEARS. Snappers warranty process is a NIGHTMARE. Over a year ago I warrantied a battery out and I have NEVER received a replacement. I now have 5 more bad batteries. $160-200 a piece adds up pretty fast. I have bought an additional 4 batteries and 2 of those have gone bad as well. They last maybe a year and then one day the lights briefly flash and the charger won't recognize it, even with a charge (battery is not completely drained). If they had a functional warranty process and a more reliable battery system, I'd support their business... But they don't so I'm done. Super disappointed. ... show more
