They need to be called police cufflinks again, because that sounds way fancier than handcuffs and way less... police-y. Full review is, this product is like stepping back into 1897 except you're allowed to have more than one key now, apparently, which is very neat. Jeepers, Department, you got a set of cuffs that came with TWO keys? Fancy Schmancy! (Giggles in 1897.) (Also OSHA probably had something to do with that in ****EMPHASISES THIS*** 1971.) I managed to bridge my hand cufflinks and unbridge them. Smooth key entry, smooth key turn, barely any ZERO risk of skin contact. Appreciated highly. NO POKEY. Lol. It's a shame Smith and Wesson can't release safety cufflinks because....."orange handcuffs". WAIT. DO I HAVE TO SAFETY ORANGE THESE ACTUAL REAL HANDCUFFLINKS SO PEOPLE DON'T THINK I'M A COP. HOLY HECK I'm ORANGING THE *Expletive Deleted* out of these. They're still the same ones but who the heck buys handcuffs like this except to continue the 90s where we all played 90s cops and robbers? (Note, I am too old to play cops and robbers. This is a serious review.) The black handcufflinks would probably best be placed in a white area, because they are a really nice black. Good handcuffs; I carry these as my back up pair. I am sold on hinged cuffs due to the reduction of wrist mobility on detainees. My primary cuffs are hinged ASP cuffs, which are incredible (but very expensive). Only con to these is because they are blued steel, they will require more maintenance and occasional application of oil to keep the rust away. ... show more

I love the color of these instead of the basic silver ones that u can see everything on. The double lock system is great because you can double lock it from either side which makes it a lot easier to use. The downfall for me is they are a little small compared to my silver pair. Unless you rotate the rest a certain way, it’s kind of hard to get them on. The biggest issue is the rust. Idk how you sell a product without checking it and making sure they are presentable. Storage of these must be bad because a new pair of cuffs shouldn’t have rust. Overall I’d buy again but the rust needs to be fixed. ... show more

As an Officer, these restraints are perfect. They have the advantage of locking the civilians wrists much closer than other handcuffs. The diameter of the cuffs allow for assuring firm secure control of smaller wrists like juveniles. The hinged design is far better for safety of the Officer and the restrained civilian. The black color is better for reducing glare and civilian intimidation. Also the advantage of design that locks the civilians palms facing outward making attempts to turn palms inward impossible. ... show more
