Description

These strong handcuffs are designed to be heavy-duty without weighing you down. The 7075 T6 ordnance-grade aluminum ensures that they are tough and lightweight, and our unique forging process eliminates sharp edges. Our ergonomic cuffs are safer for both officer and subject. The stainless-steel chain has smooth, free-rotating swivels. The flat contact area of these cuffs allows for greater speed and accuracy, and the highly-radiused steel or aluminum bows prevent injury. Five days of use (see image), I’d say they are great cuffs. Definitely been through the wringer and still going. Honest down falls… don’t fit in standard cuff holders, when…in the moment… the double lock can and will engage( yellow tabs) that is an issue. Other than that very smooth and light. I will follow up after a few month see if they survive. Still recommend the S&W 104’s. This is a nice addition to your belt/vest ... show more

Yes, ASP makes, IMHO, the best handcuffs. They are pricey but worth the money. It has been at least 10 years since I bought a pair and decided it was time, I am amazed at how light they are. I bought the 3 pawl black and they are super light and the material is durable. Yes, they may cost a little more but well worth the price. Also the ease of use compared to other handcuffs makes them that much easier to apply. A couple of ounces doesn't make that much difference until you worked 16 hours with gear on. ... show more

I had a co-worker that showed me these that he carried and I decided to order a pair. I will say I have been in the LEO field for only 4-5 years now and these are the best set of cuffs I have ever seen. You don't really think a couple ounces of weight will change much when they brag about how the aluminum cuffs are lighter but after carrying them and using them all day you can tell they definitely are lighter. These cuffs can double lock from the standard slot or can be double locked from the key holes as well. The double lock can also be released and the cuffs unlocked all from one twist of the cuff key.     • Make sure to Order w/the lockset you need
Let me start with saying that the only reason i gave these handcuffs 4 stars is because i had to order one of ASPs replacement locksets. The lockset these handcuffs come with are the "high security" setup which uses a key that is different than your standard universal key. If you want the ASP handcuffs that use the standard handcuff key, make sure they have the YELLOW marked lockset. Other than spending $15 for a new lockset, these handcuffs seem great. They're extremely light weight compared to my Vipertek hinged, so lightweight that for a second i thought they were like toy handcuffs. Love these cuffs. Smooth slide, light but sturdy. Double lock works great. Some people were saying their pen key doesnt fit it, but my pen key fits these just fine. I use the same pen key for some smith and wesson m100's. So no worries there.

I love these handcuffs! Our department issued is the same brand but they're not lightweight and they are hinged. I do prefer the hinged as they offer more control for me.
