GREAT costume wig - I'm doing some comedy and it's perfect for my ridiculous character. BUT - the wig is too small for my head. As it's just a costume, I'm making do by adjusting it. And I make my long hair into a bun that fits perfectly in the cap on top... there is a smaller cap on top that creates the height of the beehive. Great spot for long hair to be tucked in! You can work with it - it's SO inexpensive, you can make it work. At first, I thought that upper cap part was supposed to fit on the head... it is not. It is to sit on top of your head. I believe that part is why some people speculate that this might be intended for children. I have a big head - I couldn't tolerate wearing this all day. But I think it's a ridiculous style, so I never would do so, anyway! Perfect for my purposes. ... show more

Wore this wig for a musical production set in the 1960s. Couldn’t believe how lovely this bright auburn wig looked — so shiny and pretty silky especially given the price! I trimmed the bangs just a bit and cut off the little “mullet” part at the back of the head/neck area. Brushed it lightly and did some teasing to get the lift to stay. Sprayed a bit and it held great. Only thing I had a bit of trouble with was the back. It seemed a bit odd to work with. In the back, i ended up teasing it lightly just below the little beehive area and also some along the length of the hair. That seemed to help separate some of the areas that wanted to clump together and curl oddly like a cowlick. I was not recognized at the theatre by my fellow actors at dress rehearsal. It's a cheap wig. I've had better and worse. I've been told I have a large head and my hat size is an M/L vs S/M, and this wif fits a little too big. I don't see that it would easily slide off, but bobby pins will help. It's definitely NOT a Beehive in a shape like the photo and you'll have to do a lot of work to make it look this way. It's not awful, it's not great. Will serve the purpose for a funny costume. ... show more

I purchased this week to go with my Uhura costume however this week looks nothing like what's in the picture. The wig that I received was a straight shiny plastic baby doll hair typed wig. The wig doesn't even sit all the way on my head and I wear wigs all the time. It is very itchy and artificial feeling I'm definitely returning it back ... show more

I think the product is well made for a costume wig. Great color, full, ample have, good size. The style of the wig varies from the photograph, a bit more of a long bubble, not an "up-do" shorter style, but made great "spit" curls.
