I purchased it to eliminate condensation on air tank in my well water system. Initially insulation was taped on vertical seam where insulation sheet overlapped on the tank. However, tape did not hold well and I had to use bungee cord. Insulation is very easy to cut. My condensation problem was eliminated. Remaining insulation was used on hot water heater as extra insulation. Worked excellent there as well. This product had one of the highest R value. Right off the bat I’ll say that if you order too much, you’ll get hit with a restocking fee to return unused rolls. Just be aware. The insulation itself is quite good considering how thin it is. I placed it in the roof (aluminum side facing up) and saw a solid 15 degree F drop in temperature coming off the roof. That’s pretty good. Just be aware that because this is not a rigid product, you’ll have to find a way to install it properly. My recommendation is to roll it out and staple it to wooden studs. ... show more

Durable material and works very well for insulating my hydroponic systems from the Georgia sun. Heat stress is a problem for garden plants during the summer. Zip-tied sections of this insulation around the legs keep my tomato roots healthy and cool at 75f even when the day temps approach 100f. Going to try 2 layers during the winter. Cauliflower, broccoli and collard greens all winter long. I design and build professional grade hydroponic systems for families that want to grow their own food in an urban environment. Got this really quick. I'm not sure if it would help with the heat but for the cold it did keep the draft and coldness away a little bit. For me it kept my closet from being drafty but you still felt a little of the cold.
