This is a must for new puppies. I took a Snuggle Puppy with me when I picked up our labrador puppy at 7 weeks old. The breeder rubbed it on the mother's back a few times for us to capture her mother's scent and we were off for a two hour ride home. She slept the whole way home on top of her puppy and slept for 5 hours the first night with just a few whimpers at the half-way mark. The ride home and a new environment really wore her out. By the third night and every night since, both my puppy and I have gotten a good night's sleep (7 hours then 9+ hours)! I think the heart beat and heating pack, along with her mother's scent, made her transition to our house go so smoothly. Both the heating packs and heart beat worked as advertised. I never replaced the battery in the hearbeat but stopped using that after a week or so when I was confident her bedtime routine was solid. Now at 14 weeks, she will take the puppy out of her kennel to play with and most nightes uses it as a pillow. The snuggle puppy is well-constructed and shows no signs of wear and tear. The tail has been chewed on daily and is still there. I could have an easy puppy but would never bring home another puppy without a Snuggle Puppy. Our nighttime temperatures will be below zero this week so I will stick a heating pack in Snuggle Puppy to help keep our puppy comfortable. Snuggle Puppy is the best invention to help a new puppy transition to their forever home. ... show more

After reading in forums about how puppies should have nothing in their crates, but some said it was okay for some things, we bought the original Snuggle Puppy to have before our 8 week old golden retriever arrived. Put it in his overnight crate with an unwashed T-shirt and a soft pet mat. DO NOT THINK TWICE. JUST GET THE SNUGGLE PUPPY!! Goose came from a litter of 11 surviving pups and we felt he would have issues in the beginning not having sleep buddies. We only allow the Snuggle Puppy in his overnight crate, not for general play times, and he sleeps on it or with a paw over it EVERY NIGHT since night one. Other than potty breaks overnight he has slept well every night with literally zero whining until time to get up. We have had our doggo for 22 days. Extremely worth the money. We do not use the heat pack. Sometimes we run the heaetbeat on the 8 hour cycle and sometimes the 24/7 depending on a couple different things. Stop contemplating. Just get it. ... show more

the item it’s self is good quality, it comes with a thing to have it heated and came with an insertable little heat to add a heart beat. it didn’t work for my dog but that’s not an issue with the product my dog is just super anxious. she also really tears into plush toys so if you know your dog destroys those i wouldn’t recommend this. the product it’s self is decent but isnt a guaranteed fix all ... show more

This is the third time I have purchased a Snuggle Puppy. I have raised six puppies over the years and am currently raising my seventh, and I honestly wish I had found these sooner. I bought my first one for my Goldendoodle (who is now my 5-year-old service dog), and it really helped him settle down when he first came home. In fact, he still keeps it in his crate and sleeps with it every night! However, I will say that not every dog is the same. When I got one for my Border Collie, he wasn't interested in cuddling, he just wanted to destroy the poor thing, so I had to put it away. But my current puppy (a 13-week-old Standard Poodle) absolutely loves his. He tried to chew on it a little bit when he was 8 weeks old, but now he just sleeps right on top of it. I stopped using the heat packs a while ago, but I still turn on the heartbeat for him every night. In short: It is a wonderful tool for comforting a new puppy and helping them sleep. Most puppies love them, just keep an eye on the ones who play a little rough! ... show more

This really helped my 4month old rescue pup with bedtime. She went wild at first, she didn’t know what to make of it, then slowly calmed down and snuggled right up to it and slept through the night in a crate. I was shocked. The quality is amazing. It looks really cute and soft. The Velcro is very durable. It’s big enough so the pup can sleep on it. The heartbeat has a timer to save battery life. I would highly recommend.
