My immediate need was an alarm for a garage freezer, which is an older freezer and I had become aware that if we have a breakdown issue, could lose several dollars of food products. Simple audio alarms were not an option because of the distance of the de-attached garage from the house. Plus there are days when I do not even go out to the garage to hear an audio alarm. And I was concerned about relying on wi-fi shown on other systems. I was suspect about the quality from my router wi-fi signal to the garage and a sensor inside the freezer and then back to smartphone. The YoSmart and the Lora tech works extremely well, as advertised. I have a sensing unit in my garage freezer and get alerts on my email (text and Alexa are also options ) when the temp goes in/out of the range that I have set. As a new user I needed the YoSmart Hub as well and the package I ordered came with the Hub and two temp/humidity sensors. The second sensor is used in our inhouse frig. Since these worked so well, I have purchased a motion sensor and attached inside mailbox to alert to when postman opens and closes door, to alert me with an email when I have mail. And I purchased a third temp/humidity sensor and I am using it in the attic to monitor temperature and humidity. We have an automatic attic fan that comes on & off with a mechanical setting of temp and humidity. With the YoSmart sensor in the attic, I will be able to see the range of conditions in the attic as the weather changes. And with those changes I will then make setting adjustments on the automatic attic fan. In our area of the world, weather is full extremes in all Seasons and I believe the additional information provided by the sensor will help me make better adjustments on the fan and in turn keep the attic temp & humidity under control. Set up on the Hub and the sensors is a snap and instructions are very clear. Since the Hub is connected to the Internet, sensors can be monitored outside the home, via smartphone. My husband and I had the opportunity to purchase a 1/2 cow with some friends from a farm in TN. It was a dream of mine for decades and we finally were able to purchase not only healthier meat, but much cheaper than grocery store. We purchased a chest freezer and the meat came about a month ago. We are happy with our investment. Then our friend who we purchased the cow with suggested we purchase a Yolink to watch the temperature of our freezer in case of a power outage while we're away or the freezer stopped working since theres now over 1k of meat in our freezer. I didn't think it was necessary, but I figured why not. I'm glad I did! I purchased this package, because it's cheaper than buying them separate and I need the hub. I also figured, I'll throw one in our fridge freezer because why not. Step was really easy and the instructions were easy to follow. Installation maybe took about 10-15 minutes, probably not even. The app is easy to set up. You can change the names of the each sensor so you know where it's located and set alerts. You don't need to open the app to have it alert you that there's an issue. That was a big issue for me with other brands. I'm not going to open the app every hour to make sure everything is working fine. You can set it to send you emails, texts or app alerts. On the 2 day after placing all the temp sensors, my phone started going off at 11pm every 10 minutes. At first, I thought it was a friend texting or a email, but it kept going off. I finally checked my phone, I was receiving alerts that my kitchen freezer us really warm. I got up and saw that my freezer wasn't closed all the way. The Yolink saved me hundreds of dollars in meat! I'm so glad I purchased these. I will now be replacing my water sensors with the Yolink brand. I recommend these to everyone. ... show more

Performs exactly how you would expect it too. Getting the system connected was easy with the app and the range is good. No complaints at all, except that my kids leave the door open too long and I get alerts that the temperature is too high... πŸ˜ƒ. We recently purchased an inexpensive chest freezer without any low/high temperature alarms. We needed these sensors to avoid the possibility of losing a lot of expensive food. The package arrived ahead of schedule. Out of the box, everything was well labeled. All I needed was the quick reference instructions to get up and running in just around five minutes. Downloaded the app, plugged in a couple of cables for the hub, used my phone to take pictures of QR codes to add devices, set the alarm ranges, and simply waited for the results. It was interesting to see just how exact the high and low cycles were (see picture). I hope this technology catches on because I plan to buy more sensors. ... show more

    • I like to watch and get alerts on the temperatures in my home.
I used the thermometers in my fridge, freezer, chest freezer, top floor, and basement. I like being able to get alerts and keep track of temperatures and humidity to make sure everything is in working order. After almost a year the hub would like to disconnect fairly often, but I sent a message to yolink and they were able to send out a new one for me. They seem to be very easy to deal with and their products overall have been nice to have around. ... show more

    • Great Device, Even Better Support!
I bought this because we have a stand alone freezer in our basement. We had an instance where the door was somehow not closed all the way and we lost a lot of food. I had been searching for a device to "alarm" us if the temperature dropped in the future. I'm an old guy and did have a couple of snags in initial setup, totally my inability to"read" directions. I attribute that to being a man! Thankfully the support I received from YoLink was the best support I have ever received for anything I have ever bought.
