In full transparency, I have not had the opportunity to install and actually use this smart toilet yet. The reason is because my toilet/water closet lacks an electrical outlet and requires a permit by my city to install one. If you're relatively handy, installing a new outlet by tapping into a nearby outlet is not difficult -- just watch some YouTube videos to familiarize yourself with the process. If you do hire a professional electrician, know that they will not repair the drywall and baseboard damage as part of their process. You'll have to hire a painter/handyman for the cosmetic labor. The biggest frustration about this product is the lack of information, such as what parts come with it, and what is the installation process like? Fortunately, it comes with everything you'll need (wax ring, flange adapter, supply line, shut-off valve) except for tools and teflon tape. The installation instructions are printed on the large paper template to demonstrate the footprint size and shape so that you can confirm you have the space for it. The instructions are riddled with typos and misspellings and are are severely lacking though. You should also refer to YouTube to get a general understanding of how to remove an existing toilet, and install a new one. You will also have to replace your existing shut-off valve with the one that's included since the supply line (17" long, 1/2" ID) is uncommonly larger to support both flushing and bidet spraying capabilities. The electrical cord is about 40" long and has a built-in fuse box. If your existing toilet is right up against the wall, know that the bolt access points are only reachable from behind the smart toilet only, unlike side access with traditional toilets. This will be tough or annoying to access especially in tight quarters. You'll want a small mirror or smartphone in selfie camera mode to see what you're doing. The toilet itself looks very modern, particularly due to its tankless design, and seems relatively solid and well made. The toilet seat has an unusual opening shape, but is comfortable to sit on, and is elongated for men's convenience. Although I haven't been able to try the flushing and bidet capabilities, I was able to plug it in and test the seat warming and ventilation features. The seat took a while to warm up, and the ventilation capacity was under-powered and felt like a light breeze. Keep in mind that I haven't been able to fully vet the toilet yet, so perhaps I haven't used it correctly. The wireless remote seems convenient and intuitive, and the LED lighting inside the bowl in a nice touch to allow you to do your business without turning on the main bathroom light. The biggest concern I have is the various nooks and crannies within the bowl itself. I'd image you'd have to use a toothbrush and pipe cleaners to be able to do a thorough cleaning, but still not be able to fully reach everything. At $360 it seems like a bargain, but longevity and reliability is to be determined.

I absolutely love this automatic bidet! I have been wanting one ever since a trip to Japan, but until this came along, I had only been able to afford the attachments. Those are nice, but this full-on smart toilet completely blows em out of the water! There are so many features on this thing, it took me some playing around to familiarize myself with all of them. After about a month of daily use, I can confirm that this toilet is amazing and I can never go back to an old school toilet again! Pros: The nightlight and automatic features. As soon as I walk in, the toilet senses my presence and lifts the lid. I sit on a toasty warm seat set to 96 degrees, do my business, and when done, everything gets cleaned with the touch of a button. Let me tell you the warm water rinse is life changing! There's even a double-tap feature that makes the nozzle move while it cleans. I highly recommend this! After the rinse, I can opt to relax with a blowdry, or use toilet paper. Then I simply get up and walk away. The toilet senses my departure, closes the lid, and automatically flushes and sanitizes the interior. Talk about a total hands-free experience!! (Now, if you are a man, there are a few extra steps to lift the seat, but all of this can be done hands free as well via the kick sensor) That said, there are a few cons that kept this toilet from being 5-star perfect. We did have some difficulties with the installation, which was due to a mismatch in pipe fitting rather than the functionality of the toilet itself, so I won't dock stars for that. But after we got that squared away, I compiled a list of things that also took away from a 5-star experience. Cons: 1. The water tank is made of plastic, which buckled when weighed down with water during testing. I wish it had a better attachment to the base before screwing in through the seat. 2. There are no instructions for this, but to remove the Back Cover for the aroma tablet and foaming solution, slide it back first before lifting. Don't try to pry it open. You'll risk breaking off the tabs. 3. Instructions for the foam shield liquid aren't very clear. What I did was fully dissolve 5 tablets in a bottle of water first, which took about an hour. Note: Do not shake the solution or it will shoot out foam everywhere! Once the foam settled, I then filled up the tank per the instructions. But when I pressed the button to engage the foam spray, the nozzle comes out and trickles solution into the toilet, but no foam. I can't tell if I prepped the solution wrong or what, but I cannot get the foam spray to work. 4. Be aware that you'll need quite a few batteries to get started. 10 AA's for the backup power and 2 AAA's for the remote. 5. Before locking the toilet down in place, ensure that the backup power box is placed in an accessible location, such as near the opening in the back of the toilet, for when the batteries need replacing. You'll need to be able to get a hand in there to retrieve it. 6. The remote has controls on both sides, so you have to remove it from its holder to access the other side. I would've preferred to have all the controls on one side so I could keep the remote mounted on the wall, but it's not a deal breaker. At the end of the day, even with these minor complaints, this smart bidet has spoiled me for good. Alas, wiping with toilet paper alone no longer feels clean enough. Next goal is to replace every toilet in the house with a smart bidet!
