This smart toilet has lots of nice bells and whistles! There's an elongated seat, it's heated, auto open and close, night lights, heated water, bidet, and air dryer. Plus there's a remote control - so fancy! A major advantage here is also the competitive price, which is a fraction of the cost of major brands. There were two drawbacks for me. First, this unit is very heavy - 115lbs. I don't have any stairs and still had to get help from a neighbor to get the delivery box inside of my house. I guess this is mostly an issue upon delivery and for install, but something to consider nonetheless. Second, a smart toilet requires both a water and an electrical line. Very few bathrooms have electrical lines running near the water mains. So, it took both a plumber and electrician to get it installed. If you've got a hand in either of these trades, great. But otherwise, also consider that the install itself is going to be a bit of an investment.

I really wanted to love this toilet and was genuinely excited about all of its smart features. Unfortunately, the comfort just isn’t there. The toilet seat itself is very uncomfortable due to its unusual size and shape. It’s longer and wider than a standard toilet seat, which makes it awkward for an average-sized adult to sit comfortably. You have to scoot either far back or far forward just to feel stable. The included child seat seemed promising at first, but it’s really only suitable for very small children. Neither my 9- nor 12-year-old could realistically use it for both #1 and #2 without a lot of repositioning, and it’s completely unusable for an adult for the same reason. Not only that but it doesn’t seem like you’d be able to effectively use all of the bidet features anyway with it on. It’s disappointing, because the technology is impressive, but the basic ergonomics make it hard to recommend.

The ergonomics of this toilet are bad, at least to everyone in my family. The toilet's we are used to have an oval shape which narrows at the front and back. This toilet has a huge opening which functionally is a rectangle. The result is you have no thigh support and it feels like you're falling into the toilet. If you sit further back to get support you hit your tailbone against the hard seat because the rear is flat across. There is no oval tapering to support your thighs while leaving an opening for your tailbone. This is such a critical flaw that I recommend a hard pass on this. It looks nice, but would be terrible to use.

There are several things to unpack about this toilet but the first thing I want to mention is that it is HEAVY, significantly heavier than any toilet I've installed before; it's definitely not a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting it to be quite that heavy. The installation was super easy (aside from the weight), and while this is the first toilet I've installed with screws, it's a lot easier than trying to lower it onto flange bolts would have been. As for the features, I think I like them all. I absolutely love the heated seat, it is so much nicer than a cold seat; the bidet functions great, it has good pressure and I've never be hit with a cold stream thanks to the hot water function. I will say that the fan isn't the greatest, or I'm just not great at using it, but it does blow various temperature air. If I had to find a gripe, it would be with the sensor to raise the seat; if I'm wearing shoes it detects my foot instantly, when barefoot or wearing flipflops it doesn't always detect my foot right away and I have to wave it around the sensor before the seat will lift. That's definitely not much of a complaint though as I haven't had to lift the seat with my hand a single time.
