My husband and I have our entire house equipped with these lights. Considering their price, these lights are unbeatable. The setup is straightforward, and as long as you have a reliable Wi-Fi network, they maintain a steady connection unless there's a power outage. The key to using these effectively is downloading the Smart Life app. We've bought these lights from various resellers over time, so it's not just a case of getting one good batch. The color brightness, as you can see in the photos, is quite satisfactory. The blue light comes from just one bulb, yet it's impressively bright. In over four years, only three bulbs have failed due to connectivity issues, but they still work in white mode when switched on manually. If your Wi-Fi router is substandard, you might encounter difficulties, but that's a router issue, not a problem with the lights. Wi-Fi networks have a limit on how many devices they can handle. I got these lights about a week ago, and I've been loving them so far. Two of them are installed together in a single ceiling fixture, and even with both on one switch, it was still fairly easy to set them up one-by-one. The app is pretty lousy. Not at all intuitive, and even after a week I can't find a way to group the lights to program them together, it allows you to group lights together into a room, but that only allows you to see all of that room's devices on a single screen, it doesn't give you whole-room control. However, it gives you nice options for programming "scenes" (you can set a variety of colors and brightness levels to run as a sequence). I bought these to integrate into my Alexa setup at home, and the lights integrate quite well into Alexa with full control over 20 preset colors (including five white temperatures) and dimming. Grouping within Alexa is actually quite easy, and Alexa will also allow you to activate "scenes," however that only allows you to initiate the last scene you had set on each bulb. Something else that impressed me is that the bulbs remain in sync with each other. I don't know if they communicate somehow, or if they use the line frequency as a clock, but I wanted to see if the multiple bulbs in one fixture would remain synced in one of the flashing modes. I set the bulbs to one of the flashing "scenes," then using Alexa turned them all off, then all on together (unfortunately can't do this in the app). Even after an hour, all four bulbs in three rooms were still flashing in time with each other - by contrast, other non-smart, remote-controlled lights I have in a single fixture fall out of sync within a minute. ... show more

These bulbs are totally awesome. They work exactly as described and perform much better than I expected. No clue about longevity since I've only had them for almost six weeks. Connecting to Alexa was a bit of a challenge, but I got them linked up just fine. Alexa controls them easily including the color change function without the Treatlife app. The Treatlife app needs work in my view though. It's difficult for me to find some functions - the menu is not intuitive and menu items are hard to find and understand what they do. But this is me. Tech-savvy people will likely do better at discovering and understanding the functions. I've gotta say the daylight or full-spectrum white mode is super bright. I have one installed outdoors as my front porch light - fixture is covered so the bulb is not directly exposed to the elements. The colors are vibrant and stunning. I have three installed in pendants above my kitchen island. This is a central area in my home requiring bright white light to see for cooking and other activities. The Treatlife bulbs work beautifully in the kitchen. In fact, they work so well I am seriously considering buying Treatlife Canister lights to replace the five I have in my kitchen in addition to the pendant lights over the island. One nice function is that each light is numbered and you can change their label or name so if I sneak into the kitchen for a midnight snack I can illuminate only one LED if I need to instead of the entire array. The porch light can be set in the Alexa app to turn on and off at dawn and dusk and I can even change the illumination intensity from very dim to bright white. I can even change the color to deter bugs that are attracted to white light. I can also signal my neighbor with Green light so he knows he can come over to watch the game or any number of colors for various moods or, er, uh, signals. To this point, I am quite pleased with these lights. There's one caveat, you must register with Treatlife. To use their app they require information that I was not really comfortable sharing. I suspect they know when and how I use the lights. Nothing life-shattering, but nonetheless I did not appreciate the invasion of my privacy however minor. But I have nothing to hide, so, what the heck! I highly recommend them. ... show more

I already had Feit app for othe bulbs. These bulbs were easy to add to the app. Easy to adjust. I have them in my nightstands so I can turn them on and off from my phone instead of reaching over. It's very easy to switch to a different color to set a little ambiance for the bedroom.
