The link width (not the pitch, but the thickness transverse to the chain pitch) is made simple to understand - the more teeth on the gear cassette, the narrower the link width has to be to drop into the narrow space between parallel rows of teeth. Just match the # of speeds on the bike rear cassette with the # of speeds marked on the package. I ordered two chains which worked great. I didnโt order enough chain the first time so I had to order another one. The second package had been opened and each end of the chain was bent five links from the ends. Luckily I only needed about 18 inches. I donโt fault the chain or the vendor, I feel it came open and wasnโt put back in the box correctly. The first two packages were great.

I like the way it looks and the connection type was easy. Metal looks thin but for the price I can ride easy. I'm 200 lbs and I can ride easy but not comfortable with putting a lot of torque on this chain. But for just riding to work 4 miles it's doing its job.

My chain broke on my old 3x8 speed bike. I've never replaced a chain before, but it seemed pretty straightforward after watching a few YouTube videos. I lined the new chain up with my old one, and sized the new chain using the chain link tool on my bike multitool (that I'd never used before). The new chain came with a master link which was pretty simple to connect. I've been using the new chain for about 2 months now, and haven't had any issues since.
