I wanted to really like this smart Guitar but there are just too many drawbacks with it. One huge drawback for me is I just cannot figure out how to make it play more like a regular guitar in order to learn on it. It keeps adding a track or something every time I try and follow along with the same music. The app is extremely limited compared to what I thought it would be for this price. Its also about 75% it seems like in Chinese and is not intuitive to use. The app does connect almost instantly when you want it to work with the guitar though which was a plus and there were about 3 English songs I found to practice with but the words are all jumbled together like they didn't bother to even look at it. The guitar itself feels like a good quality item and so do the buttons and knobs but I noticed almost immediately adjusting the volume on it would put a ton of static through the speakers and sometimes that static would stay unless I again made a small tweak to the volume adjuster to get rid of it. I also don't like that the power button double functions to add or remove a beat track (best I can recall) but the button doesn't really press down and I still can't figure out if that is even doing anything/working. Looks wise, this thing looks very nice and when you do get it turned on and don't bother with the annoyances of the app, its kind of fun to just mess around with and it has other neat features where you can adjust the key and the lights will light up on the bar to indicate which one you are in and those also light up when you follow along in the app during a song, etc. The touch surface feels nice and will play different (as it should) depending on which strings you are touching. It has a lot of nice features to it and FEELS premium but just overall lacks the premium cohesive experience and I feel like some internals might not be as high quality as the outside would make it appear. It does have some decent weight to it as well so while not heavy by any means, it might get a bit annoying to hold over a little bit of time for some. All in all, for the price, I would absolutely avoid this purchase. I am sure there are better options out there and I feel like this one is a one and done kind of thing rather than an investment into something that will really be nice to have that you could do a good job learning anything with. I wanted to like it since it comes with such a nice carrying case and the item itself looks nice but functionality wise for this price I just cannot recommend it unless you speak Chinese and want to play more songs because there seems to be a number of them in that language.

The N1 is an exceptionally well-thought-out product! I’ve been genuinely impressed with the sound quality—the acoustic guitar, piano, drums, and bass tones are all rich and authentic. The variety of built-in strumming and fingerpicking patterns adds great versatility to playing. I especially appreciate the single-note pick function, which supports both up and down strumming and even allows custom rhythm creation. This instrument is ideal for beginners learning music theory, singers looking to accompany themselves, or anyone wanting a portable practice tool. That said, dedicated fingerstyle enthusiasts might find its stringless design less satisfying.

I'll admit that I enjoy playing with this instrument. It makes a lot of interesting sounds and has a built-in beat box. It folds up into a little case, which is actually pretty cool. And I do think you can make music with it. But as someone who has played guitar for over 40 years, I would not buy this for a beginner to learn guitar. The neck is very wide, and there is nothing akin to a string to pluck. I see no good habits to be formed by playing with this instrument, not if you're intending to pick up a real guitar someday. You need to learn to press and strum actual strings – that's what playing guitar is about. This is certainly a fun device and I do enjoy it, but I don't think there is any substitute to an actual guitar for learning to play guitar. In my view, this is a toy, not a musical instrument, and I'd temper your expectations accordingly.

This smart guitar is a total game-changer for practicing anywhere. As a beginner, I was blown by how easy it is to use. The chord generator in the app is a cheat code for learning songs instantly, no more fumbling with finger placements. It's incredibly portable and the foldable design is genius for small apartments. I love having a built-in drum machine and speakers; it makes jamming feel complete. The variety of tones is awesome, whether I'm practicing alone or with friends. The only thing to know is that the built-in speakers are decent for personal use, but for a band setting, you'll probably want to plug into an amp. For a hassle-free, fun, and modern way to play, this little white wonder is a 8.5/10. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like this "guitar", however, it is not ready for the US market. First, you have to download an app using a QR code. However, the link is not to the App Store, but to a sketchy website that was immediately flagged by my Samsung Tablet as potentially dangerous. I don't want to install potential viruses or bloatware on my tablet. The manufacturer needs to provide a validated app on the Google Play or Apple App Store. Without the App, this "guitar"'s use was quite limited. I play electric and acoustic guitar and piano / keyboards , so I am quite familiar with using and integrating electronic instruments, but this was difficult to play without detailed instructions. I got sound out of it, and drum machine use was easy, but switching between strumming, cords, melodic play wasn't straight forward. I like the form factor, the folding neck, and the general heft this "guitar" has, but it's not ready for professional use.

My teenage Grandson plays a regular guitar and I ordered this for his birthday. It is expensive but does have a great deal of capabilities to produce music. It didn’t take my Grandson any time at all to start playing music with this and he is experimenting and creating beautiful music. He is very happy with this instrument.
