Description

Smart Caregiver’s wireless fall alarm system alerts caregivers when patients press the call button, sending a sound alarm to the included pager. Setup is easy; place the call button on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or have the patient wear it with the included lanyard for rapid response. This paging alarm system includes a wireless caregiver pager with an on/off switch and two alert tones to choose from. With a range of up to 300 feet, our elderly monitoring alarm gives caregivers the ability to take care of other tasks while in a different room, making it a valuable part of your elderly assistance products. Patients can press the help button to alert the caregiver if they need assistance, if they fall, or if there is an emergency. The wireless safety alarm pager can be carried by the caregiver, clipped to clothes using the belt clip, or placed in a convenient location for effective wireless monitoring of the patient. The pager and wireless panic button set do not contain latex and are safe to use with a pacemaker. This pager system for elderly, sick patients, or people with limited mobility, is easy to use and ready to set up right out of the box! The patient can wear one of the call buttons using the included lanyard or have it mounted to a flat, easily accessible surface. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this for my elderly father as he is cared for at home. He was having trouble pressing the call button on the item we had before and it was time to look at other options. Very glad I chose this one. The call button is very easy to push and there’s a little red light that comes on when the button is pressed so he can see it worked. There are two sound options for the call box. You can either have a ding dong sound (which we use) or a very loud siren that does not go off until you turn it off on the call box. We never use that one as the ding song is quite loud and you can’t miss it. Batteries come with the set but I also ordered extra to have when I need them. My only complaint is that the lanyard that you put around your neck that the call button hangs from is pretty long. I wouldn’t mind it to be a bit shorter. Otherwise this has been a great purchase for him and we rely on it quite heavily. ... show more

    • Best thing since sliced bread for caregivers!
We have a baby monitor in the room with hubby so that I can go about running the house while he's confined to bed. Not always a great solution -- sometimes I hear the TV but he could be hollering for me and I wouldn't hear it, just the TV! I needed to find a more reliable and consistent way for him to be able to get my immediate attention. It had to be simple, easy for him to physically use because he has decreased hand strength... this item is an absolute God-send! I don't know why I never saw it over the past 10 years that we surely could have used it but we have it now and it's making life so much more bearable! This package comes with 2 round buttons, 2 "holster" type holders, all the necessary batteries, a "pager" with a built-in pinch clip (belt, on clothing, etc.) that receives the signals from those buttons, easy to understand instruction sheet, 2 nice quick-release lanyards, 2 pieces of double sided foam sticky tape to mount the holsters to hard surfaces and 2 screws that you could ostensibly use to mount the holster permanently to a hard surface. That's kind of a stretch though because the screws are pretty small... We've mounted our button holsters on hubby's bedrail by tieing it with a lanyard and on his bedside table edge via the sticky tape. Easy peasy for both of those installations. Hubby can easily push the buttons and has started to do so. Often. LOL The pager has no volume control so whether you choose the doorbell sound or the alarm sound, they come across LOUD and clear. I wish there was a way to adjust the volume because I need a supplement to the monitors, not something that will lift me off the sofa when hubby pushes the button! So, that's the only drawback that I see so far... I haven't tried it yet but because the system is self-contained, this should be usable anywhere as long as both the button and the pager are in decent relation to each other. There's no monthly service fees of any type and no base station required. So I can easily see this being an inexpensive and helpful tool for people who might need it outside in their yards or while shopping, etc. It wouldn't necessarily be the most elegant of solutions and it would probably startle anyone who wasn't aware it was in use. For us, this is a huge bargain at around $40 and I really wish we'd found it earlier. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a very dependent loved one but still needs to have their own life and do things in other areas away from that person. ... show more

    • Peace of mind when caring for aging parents
With aging parents living with me, I was looking for something that would make it easy for them to notify me if they need help. I am so pleased with the Smart Caregiver Two Call Button system. My parents each have their own button and the pager is in my room. The Chimes are loud enough to be heard throughout the house. The chimes sound twice then stop. The alarm feature is louder and continues to sound until turned off. We chose the chimes for now. But it's nice to know that I change the setting very easily by just using the switch on the pager. I also like the range of the system. It not only works throughout my home, but in the yard. If my Dad is in the garden and needs me, he just pushes the button and the chimes will play inside. I can hear the chimes from the other side of my home, even when the train whistles are blowing. My Dad, who is hard of hearing, cannot hear the chimes from that distance with the train noise. However, he can hear the chimes from that distance when there are no trains. The buttons do not make noise, only the pager. The pager also has a belt clip so it can be worn. However, for my use, the pager just sets on a shelf in my room. The only con, is that it only comes with one lanyard. But my Dad will keep his button in his pocket, until I can get another lanyard. He places the button holder on backwards to cover the button so he doesn't accidentally hit it. The holder slips on and off easily, so that will work for now. ... show more
