The media could not be loaded. SmallRig has never ceased to amaze me when it comes to there ingenuity and creativity. This universal phone cage is something I honestly never thought I would have needed, yet here it is, and im definitely a fan. Although the packaging seems a little cheap, the product itself is not. The cage feels very well build and the fact that it's made of aluminum makes it sleek and easy to carry. I own my own creative business and am always looking for new ways to streamline our video production process without having to spend a whole lot of money. In the past couple of year's smartphone cameras have become so powerful that I find myself using just my phone for a lot of my low budget shoots and for clients who don't necessarily have the time or budget for the "cinematic" setup. The one thing that has prevented me from using it more was not being able to find a good way to attach my external devices (ie. Shotgun mic, LEDs, etc.) and the lack of stability I got from holding a small phone with four fingers. ALL THAT IS SOLVED. This cage is so useful in so many ways, and it seems your only limited by the other SmallRig accessories you own. Using some low profile NATO rails and my handle grip I was able to make the rig shown in the images. This has been great for getting smooth low angle shots without having to hold your phone with two hands and strain your back bending over. It also holds your phone extremely well, even when shaking it around violently it stayed in place. I only wish they had somehow found a way to incorporate NATO rails so I didn't have to attach my own, but that's a small CON to the many PROs it has.

The material of this universal video rig is really solid and tough. It offers a bunch of positions for adding extra accessories. One thing to watch out for during setup is the buttons on the phone's side, but luckily, this rig still gives room to adjust the grip comfortably. I use it for my iPhone 13 Pro.

So before my girlfriend and I even bought this phone cage, we had fallen in love with smallrig. These guys have totally revolutionized the way everyday people create content. From the second smallrig caught my eye to now, I've just been completely impressed. I got the phone cage, a side handle, a Bluetooth side handle and a battery bank holder all made by smallrig. All I can say is bravo, I've only just used it tonight but I can already tell it's going to give us the most quality cinematic recording experience we could have ever dreamed of. This unit is highly versatile with all the cold shoe mounts and 1/4" 20 thread holes. As far as a set up, the sky is the limit for the different ways you can configure your gear. Its all metal and as rugged as it gets, we can litterally use these items well into our retirement and beyond. I've already said it a few times but ill say it again, smallrig definitely has 2 customers for life and we will highly recommend your products to ANYONE we know who needs recording equipment. Love you smallrig, keep up the amazing work

This is a very sturdy iPhone 12 pro max cover. 4 complaints, 1. Very Heavy, 2. Hard to put phone on silent with ON/OFF button, 3. Hard to clean lens, 4. Very slippery, wish it had rubber sides. Other than that its very convent add mic, light and stand. I do get compliments on visual of the cover design, but little too heavy to carry around daily. I already had a lens glass cover on iPhone, and added a lens cover on the outside of the device for more convent cleaning.

Really. For the price it can't be beat, AND you can use it on more than one type of phone. I switch between an iPhone 13 and a Pixel6, with no more than 30 seconds between them. It's well made and works as advertised. I love being able to mount my phone to a *real* tripod or gib arm, and even just using it for handheld shots gives you much steadier results. You need this.
