Great product!!! It is very compact and yet feels like you’re working with something that would cost so much more. Hold 2 items with hot shoe base for left and right also has screw in base if you want to sit it on a tripod or other ideas. Clamp for the phone is great and holds perfectly fine. Just takes a bit more effort to take on and off. Maybe there can be an upgrade next time or option to swap to a mag safe holder for faster removal and install. Other than that it’s great and works great at a great price!!!

This works OK but I wished the crossbar was machined aluminum instead of plastic.. I would gladly accept the slight increase of weight to have more stability when holding the rig.

If you put a small light and mic on it, it can be a bit top heavy, but it fits extremely well in a travel bag. If you plan to use it on the go, or to travel with it, it's great!

I’ve been using this rig along with a mic and light to take video for a couple of months now and I love it. I can get super smooth video without the jitter like I was getting just holding my iPhone as usual. It has a couple of fold out cold shoes which are convenient for attaching accessories. It’s compact and easily carried in a backpack or even back pocket. I really like that it can hold large phones easily which some phone clips won’t do.

Unlike the reviews of free product, I paid $26 + tax, to buy this product. Overall the product is okay but the quality could improve for the price IMO. It’s a bit wiggly and the construction could be better for the price (2 star). However, I do appreciate customer support (extra star) as they promptly followed up with me after initial review.

The Smallrig P20 Universal Foldable Mobile Phone Cage is probably one of the most portable phone stabilizers around. Folded, it is the size of a candy bar and weighs maybe two candy bars. When you unfold all the pieces you have a spring clamp to hold your phone attached to two handles and two cold shoe mounts across the top bar. The phone holder can be rotated so that the phone switches from portrait to landscape as needed. You just need to make sure the phone is sitting in the grippers so that it is as FAR FORWARD (away from the cage) as possible so the phone doesn’t hit anything while you turn it. The Smallrig P20 comes with paper instructions, but the best instructions are the pictures you will find inside the bottom of the box. I unfolded the whole thing without the instructions because it is fairly intuitive and easy. There is a standard tripod hole in the middle for mounting the whole cage on a tripod, but this turns the cold shoes upside down. There are better options available for phone mounts that attach to a tripod and provide a cold shoe on top. I think the strength of this device is: 1) Extremely portable size so you can keep it handy (purse, pocket, glove compartment) 2) Left and right hand grips to provide a stable shot 3) Two hot shoes to add one light, one microphone It’s not the fanciest or costliest rig, but it can get the job done credibly. If you always have your phone on you, keep this handy too and get a stable and smooth shot.
