Another great smallrig item. The magnet is VERY powerful. I stuck it to a car body panel for a test and thought it was welded there. It took serious effort to remove. The adjustability is in every direction and if you can’t get this attached to ferrous metal and pointed where you want - then nothing would suit your needs. I even stuck it to a small 1/2 inch wide metal strip to see if it needed the whole surface but held a GP adequately. So for quick mounting and instant adjustability this is my new go-to to replace all the other clips / clamps and magnets I was using. I just added the quick release to the threaded area and now I can swap cameras with just a squeeze.

I love it! It’s what you’d expect from the SmallRig brand, top notch. From the packaging, which is simple, but easy to get into with a quality look. The magnet is strong, but for those of you looking for this sticking to glass, this isn’t the one. This is specifically for metal magnetic attracting objects. I have zero complaints with this product, however, I have a suggestion for the small rig team. Could you please include a security tether or sell a bundle? It’s an easy $20 sale up front, minimal cost on creating them. I know I’d be buying a set.

I saw this was a frequently returned item but purchased anyway and I’m glad I did. I ran a few tests with this in the hood of my car. Drove at highway speeds in the rain for a couple of hours with an old GoPro. I made sure to run over some rougher roads and the magnets held on very well. It is tough to remove when you’re done but I see that power to stay on the car as a selling point. Great product. I would buy it again.

Made with very low quality. The handle of the stopper that fixes the ball joint fell off immediately. After several uses, one leg out of three legs unscrewed. Made unreliably, if it falls apart at high speed, someone could be seriously injured. I hope the engineers will improve the design and make it more reliable. The quality is not worth the money. WHY DON'T THEY TEST THEIR PRODUCTS FOR QUALITY?
