  • Great solution to protect smart shoe.
Style: Grey
I am not shooting as much in the rain, but I still worry about the contacts in the hotshoe. This is the only solution. It fits well, but is a touch loose. I am worried I will lose it. Thankfully it comes as a two pack. IT DOES NOT FIT THE A7C A7CR OR A6000 SERIES BODIES.

  • Fits Canon

Works in Canon. Didn't see it was for Sony. Saw Canon ones are cheaper so get the cheaper one. Love, love, love these!

  • This is overpriced, but the good news is it doesn’t work
Style: Grey
It seemed like a good idea at first and it fit the camera properly. However, it fell off—not once, not twice, but three separate times. The camera was inside my camera bag, and I only discovered the detached piece well after removing the camera. That level of unreliability makes it effectively worthless. The design is poorly conceived and not worth the money. I would not purchase it again—and in fact, I returned it. ... show more

  • At least on the a7 IV these are really snug and secure At least on the a7 IV these are really snug and secure
Style: Black
I took a peak at the reviews for this and I'm genuinely surprised to see several users talking about these being loose. This are very snug and secure on my a7 IV so I wonder if there is a chance they might not be quite as good a fit on other bodies. But absolutely for the a7 IV these are fantastic and I recommend them. It does take a brief moment to figure out how to secure them which involves basically placing it on top of the hot shoe and then pushing forward to lock it in place. I also wonder if any of the other reviewers aren't actually pushing it forward to lock in place but I'd have to think there are because otherwise it's just sitting there unattached. These very much have the quality that I'm accustomed to from SmallRig. When you first handle these and slide them into your camera you pretty much know immediately wow this is definitely going to up the protectio for the hot shoe over the basic plastic cover that photographers are used to. Cosmetically how they look might be a little controversial. I wouldn't particularly say they look especially attractive but again they feel really nice and you know this is a quality as accessory by how nice it feels in the hand and how snug it is when sliding at least into the a7 IV. Definitely seems like it will help protect the hot shoe from light rain as the listing states. I'm pretty paranoid about getting my cameras wet but this will help ease my paranoia a bit if I get caught in a slight drizzle (since I never chance more than that with expensive gear anyway, but that's just me). As nice as these seem to be the value seems to be good especially since these are designed to protect the hot shoe on some pricier camera bodies and it comes with two covers. Very happy with these for the a7 IV. ... show more

  • Looks good, fits... sort of. Falls off regularly. Lost one already.
Style: Grey
I bought this under recommendation from other photographers in online groups. At first I was impressed. It looked good and seemed to fit well. The price wasn't bad for what i thought I was getting. While on the camera it seems it would protect the hot shoe from rain, snow, moisture etc (I've not yet had my camera out in those conditions, so I can't confirm). However when using with my A7V, the cover just doesn't stay put. I've lost one already and the other falls off regularly. It's not secure enough to stay put just putting my camera into my camera bag, or taking the camera back out. I routinely find the one I have left in the bottom of my bag or on the floor nearby. It's a great concept and it seemed to fit tighter to start, but quickly loosened up. Now it just won't stay on. I'm quite disappointed as this seemed like a great purchase. I can't recommend. ... show more

  • Good Fit, Plasticky Design Good Fit, Plasticky Design
Style: Black
I was a little concerned after ordering this because several reviewers mentioned that it comes loose easily and can fall off. My experience has actually been pretty good in terms of fit. The design is definitely different from a typical hot shoe cover that slides all the way in. This one sits on top and only slides in about a quarter of the way, just enough to catch and stay in place. It fit my A7RIV without any issues and also worked on my Nikon Z camera. That said, I didn’t end up liking the design as much as I expected based on the product photos. The cover feels plasticky — which it is — and it gives the camera a slightly toy‑like look instead of the more solid, metal feel I prefer. I didn’t love how it looked on my A7RIV, and after a few hours I removed it. I don’t think I’ll be putting it back on. Functionally, it does what any hot shoe cover should do: it protects the contact points. If the aesthetic works for you, then it’s a perfectly fine option. It just wasn’t the right fit for my taste. ... show more
