  • So far this is the best low cost S Mount I have found.
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
Finally got this out of the box and used it on a softbox that came with its own bracket. This is without a doubt the best Bowens S mount bracket I have, and I have some brackets in my collection. Here is what I like: 1. Allows me to insert my flash into the modifier instead of trying to line it up with the opening. If you ever tried to line a speedlight on a trigger with the hole in a softbox you know what I mean. Connect a bare bulb to a stripbox with this bracket and it's magical! 2. Real S mount, attaching a big softbox to this is simple and the click lets you know it is locked in. No more having your softbox come off in your hand when you rotate it. 3. Everything that comes in contact with your speedlight is padded. Not a big deal with many of my speedlights since they have been around for a while. I have 4 newer SB-910's that I would like to keep looking nice for as long as I can. 4. The speedlight can be mounted with the head in the same direction as the modifier dimension, the head will go vertical in a stripbox instead of horizontal. Sounds minor but helps give even coverage in a rectangular modifier. 5. Handle for tilt has a release button to rotate it out of the way. I have brackets that cost twice what I paid for this one where the handle is stuck wherever it is tight, even if it prevents the softbox from rotating. Here is what I don't like: 1. Its all plastic. I know for 20 bucks it will be plastic, at least it seems to be very strong and well finished without rough edges or flash. Everything on it fits and works, nothing on it looks like it will cut me. 2. The tilt adjustment is very coarse, I don't have a problem with adjusting it but I have mounted it on a light stand swivel when I didn't want to fuss with it. Use it with a shoot through umbrella and you will never notice, use a snoot with a tight grid and you will. Overall I really like this, some thought went into the design and it shows in the results. ... show more

  • Great value!
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
I purchased this bracket to use with my Godox 2' rectangle soft box. It has worked very well with my still life photography. Given its price, I can't say its of a highly durable build but its certainly good and definitely worth the price. It securely holds my speed light. I also have a Profoto two speed light bracket and that is outrageously expensive but its built like a tank. But its design makes it very difficult to see the controls on the speed light and simply turn it on and off. The Godox provides easy access to the speed light buttons. I also like the simple way the bracket holds the speed light but I need to be cautious not to over tighten it and possibly damage my speed light. One thing that could happen but hasn't yet is that the soft box could pop off this bracket. It's not overly secure. But as I've used it during my still life sessions, it hasn't given me any issues yet when I adjust my light stand. Overall, this is a great little value and I'd recommend it. ... show more

  • Sturdy and effective
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
I was skeptical of this style of mount and it's ability to hold a large modifier. However It easily supports a 5 foot octabank or a 4x5ft rectangular Chimera bank. No Slipping, the material is extremely stout ABS type plastic not cheap crap. The mating surfaces for the tilt adjustment have some friction enhancement of the surfaces to prevent slipping. This means you will have to loosen the knob just a bit more than you would for just a straight compression type surface in oder to make adjustments but in the end it is rock solid. I prefer to mount min on an extension arm on a c-stand anyway and therefore rarely have to adjust the tilt of the actual head. But go ahead, it will hold. ... show more

  • Reliable flash bracket with solid build and easy mounting
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
Reliable bracket for holding an external camera flash. It feels solid once mounted and keeps the flash secure without shifting during use. The adjustable design makes it easy to position the flash at different angles, which is helpful for shaping light in both studio and on-location setups. It also integrates well with Bowens-style modifiers, adding flexibility for softboxes and other light shaping tools. Overall, a dependable and practical flash bracket that performs well and holds gear securely during use. ... show more

  • Very nice bowen mount, quality for the price is well worth it.
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
As I open the box it was pretty simple I'm unboxing and what you get in the is a manual instructions and the mount. The reason why I purchase this mount it's because godox TT600S shoe mount broke but also to have a nice even spread of light when using soft boxes or a beauty dish. The quality construction of this product as well crafted and well built. My first impressions were immediately was amazing and you can mount any flash onto this mount. Keep in mind if you use any strobe flash equipment to do portraits or studio photography, this is what you need. Also keep in mind and as I said before about a nice spread of light when using soft box, your talent will be lit correctly. Update: December 28th 2016 As a photographer and videographer and select this for reason due to Godox not returning emails and calls due to a TT600S flashes show mounts have broken. • Works well, allows you to use speedlights with Bowens "S" mount acessories. Also doulbes as an umbrella bracket.
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
This adapter really works. Works with soft boxes up to 24x36 with absolutely no issues. Fast setup, easy to use, clamps on the speedlight, no cold shoe mount required. Pairs really well with the Yongnuo 560 IV, using the built-in wireless control. Using one of the Yongnuo 560 IV flashes, I get f5.6 on full power at about 8 ft. Your mileage may vary. These brackets are the easiest way to mount your Bowens softbox and other accessories to your speedlights. UPDATE: I forgot to mention that these brackets also include an umbrella mount, you can set these up on your stand, insert the umbrella rod into the bracket, and, then mount your flash for alignment directly with the umbrella rod. You can go ahead and buy some separate cold shoe mount umbrella brackets, or, you can just get double-duty out of these and use these brackets with your umbrellas. ... show more

  • Perfect flash bracket
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
The perfect way to get the flash centered when using an umbrella or softbox diffuser

  • Far better than I expected!!
Size: S--TYPE BRACKET
I picked this item up because I recently acquired a Flashpoint Streaklight flash, one of the 360 w/s, bare bulb units (similar to the Godox AD360 or Cheetah Light CL-360...) . In looking around for mounting/umbrella mount options, I wasn't impressed with what was available. There's one setup with a hole through the reflector that you would thread the umbrella post through and attach to a piece of plastic that is then attached to the flash head. Yeeeeaaaahh, but no thanks! Just what I want, something that will add torque to all the wrong points on an expensive flash unit! Not to mention that I would still need to attach this unit to the light stand! Then I found this item! It's built for speedlights, but it looked like it would do the trick for my unit, which too, is built like a speedlight (a pound and a half speedlight, but anyway...) It turned out to be WAAAAY better than I expected. The very first thing that I noticed was inside the stand mount; it's a METAL collar!! Woo-hoo! That was unexpected, mostly because I didn't even think about it. This unit is mostly plastic, but it's very thick and sturdy. And the fact that I can use all of my existing light modifiers, like my 7' umbrella, my deep 'half-a-blimp', hexadecagon, soft-box... Take a look at the pictures and you'll see all of the great points about this bracket. I really like that it has the clearance to allow me to mount any of my 'flash specific' light modifiers, such as the little reflector/diffuser that comes with the unit. I can still use my gels or anything else that suits me. When it's mounted, it's mounted! Very solid! Which is something that you want when putting a multi-hundred dollar speedlight/flash unit on a light stand! ;) ... show more
