I love this for my betta. I have a ten gallon tank. I wanted to have gravel and a type of bed for my betta to lay on. I cut the square into 4 long rectangles and put one on each side of the tank. It looks great and its soft enough for my fish. I did have one issue and that's the suction cups. The suction is not the issue but rather how they hook on to plant. Its just too lose and not very secure. That's is due to the suction clan being too but to the think plastic it hangs on to. I did struggle with constantly getting undone while installing, but it is very possible. Once I added gravel to it and spread it evenly , it was embedded in place and the end product is definitely worth all the effort. If you use a siphon or a gravel vacuum ( which I have used Both). If your not careful you make accidentally dig it up when your trying into get everything clean. If you take it out to wash it, its sturdy and the leaves won't fall off like other plastic plants. ... show more

I rinsed it upside down, under hot tap water to get it to fluff up and look more natural. It looks great in my aquarium. The mat was easy to trim into the desired shape. Great quality, no foliage fell off, it's soft enough for fish and shrimp and the perfect height to toss a few handfuls of sand on, to weigh it down. Very impressed. ... show more

These look great in the aquarium, and my fry like to hide in them! It would be 5 stars, however, you do have to be gentle when placing them, as well as vacuuming them, as the little "branches" break off very easily, and you end up with bare spots. *** IMPORTANT*** If you're attaching to the glass side of aquarium, which they provide suction cups to do so and there is a gap between glass and the plastic mat- please be careful- I had a larger platy fish become trapped behind the gridding against the glass, and he ended up injured by the time I found him- I had to pull the matt off the wall to free him. These are perfect for pur hermit crab tank. Not sure they have climbed up yet, but they are more active at night. They add a nice look, and are very sturdy. My only complaint is the suction cups. They won't hold this up with any sort of pulling. I purchased some cups with a hook, and those does a better job. All in all very happy! ... show more

The grass panel itself looks nice in the tank and adds a good pop of green, but getting the suction cups attached was way harder than it needed to be. They’re stiff, awkward to fit into the base, and it took a lot of effort just to get everything secured. Once it’s finally in place, it stays put and looks good, but the setup process was frustrating enough that I wish it had been designed better. ... show more

This greenery has worked well for us. We've had it for several months in our 39 gallon tank that we have our guppies in. We like to raise some of the babies, but not too many so we leave them in the tank and don't stress the moms by pulling them out and putting them in a breeder trap when they look ready. We pretty heavily plant the tank with places to hide and this works great. We split the grid into 2 pieces and hung one on the back wall for them to hide in and put the other piece into the tank, upside-down for them to hide in at the top where they hang out a lot. The only issue we had was getting the suction cups to stay attached to the piece we were floating. We needed it to stay on one side of the tank so it wouldn't get under the outflow of the filter and sink. I took some white thread, put the suction cup on the side of gird lines where I wanted it, wrapped the neck of the suction cup a couple times and then tied the end to the grid and finally wrapped the neck again and tied it off. It works well. Now we can look down into the grid and see the babies and it stays where we want it. Remember to soak it in really hot tap water (not boiling) to get it to relax and lay flat. ... show more
