I was afraid this would not work, because the bottom of my tub had a slight anti-slip surface already. This map has great suction instability so far. Hopefully it is durable and easy to clean. In the meantime, it looks and feels great.

I had been looking for a new bathmat in stores with little success. I found this one and wasn't sure if it was what I needed, but I was willing to try it. It arrived extremely fast. It's good because it covers most of the tub; it has holes to allow water/dirt to drain and it is very comfortable to step/stand on. This mat is better than I actually expected. It fits the length of the tub perfectly,adheres to the tub firmly and there is plenty of grip for my feet,which I really need due to balance and mobility issues. This worked to reduce slip-and-slide for my dogs. It'd obviously work for people, too. To use it, the tub surface needs to be a little wet, the mat's set inside of it, and then the mat's suction cups need to be pushed down to adhere to the tub. A person could use their feet or hands to do this - it kind of resembles pushing down on bubble wrap. If the suction cups are not pushed down, then the mat will slide around in the tub. As for cleaning, I just rinsed it after use, and then let it air-dry. ... show more

The mat itself is nice and long. But when I opened the box it smelled like it came directly from a cannabis factory. I thought after a few showers it would subside. Nope. For the first week, I had to shut my bathroom door and leave my window wide open. 3 weeks later, window still cracked, it still stinks!! Is this horrific stench ever going to go away?
