Note: After each use, I always used several coated magnets to hang the mat on the side of the bathtub (with the suction cups facing up) so the mat could fully drain and dry. When it came time to clean the mat I used a little bit of Mrs Myers Clean Day in warm water and a stiff bristle brush (be sure to use some type of eye protection), rubbing in a circular motion on suction cups. I repeated this process as needed until the mold was gone. I placed the mat on the bottom of the bathtub and poured Mrs Myers Clean Day soap in warm water on the suction cups and allowed to soak for over thirty minutes. I used the stiff brush with more warm water and soap on the suction cups again. Turn the mat over and repeat the soaking process followed by using the brush on the other side of the mat. Rinse well. Hang the mat on the side of the bathtub and allow to fully dry. My three year old mat still looks like new. I’m not sure if using the stiff bristle brush affects the mold resistance or not? ... show more

Always had a cast iron bathtub in our home... back in the day when there wasn't a grippy surface on the tub bottom where you didn't slip/fall. For a number of years, I would order non slip adhesive tape to attach to the bottom of the tub but after awhile, mildew would form around the edges of the tape and would be unsightly. Wifey made me replace the non slip tapes several times until I found this mat. Allows us to pull up the mat and hang it onto our tub grab bars after bathing/showering and no further issue in mildew growing as well as making it easier when my wife cleaned the tub and walls ... show more

I really haven't owned it long enough to speak at length about cleanabity other than to say that we pull the mat up after use and rinse it rather than to leave in the tub and all crud to begin to form on it. I haven't noticed any issues previously. That said, this mat is larger than many that I have used in the past and it stays put due to the added number of suction cups. It also seems to be a bit more cushy soft than others. I am very much pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I read multiple reviews here and was hesitant to buy one of these mats because of several reviewers claiming the mat suction wouldn't stick in their tubs. I went ahead and bought one and figured I could return it if it did slip and slide. Well, I can safely say that after a week of use, this mat does not slip or slide around in the tub for me. The suction on it is solid and I feel safe walking on it when I take a shower. Not sure what other people are talking about when they say it slips and slides for them. My tub has some staining from previous sticky strips for slipping, no matter how much scrubbing was done you could still see the stains. Found this product and have been using it for 6 months, I clean underneath it weekly and it stays pretty clean. It does get some soap build up underneath where the suction cups are but that's a given, you should be cleaning your tub weekly anyways. Most bathtub mats cover 60% of the bottom of the tub. This mat covers from the drain to the back of the tub. There are loads of drainage holes and suction cups. The porcelain on our old tub is not nice any longer and this covers all the nasty. Very pleased with this purchase!

First I noticed that it is just the right size, it fits the entire bathtub and it's comfortable on your feet. As far as it's appearance, it is your typical bath mat with the suction cups on the bottom and a good grip on the top. It's nothing special, but it serves the purpose perfectly.

This is a little big for my tub but it still works well. The suction is very good and it doesn't move around. It isn't nearly as slippery as the tub is. It is also easy to pull up to clean, then put it back, press down a couple of suction cups and it works great as a non slip mat.
