This mattress is the real deal. I just threw away a $2000 latex mattress I bought after a ton of research when it started smelling and pulled the trigger on this 14" elite on a whim. I like to sleep on a firm mattress, think air mattress filled up almost entirely. I was very skeptical buying an Amazon mattress that's a fraction of big brand prices without seeing it first, but my initial impression after 3 nights is that I'm incredibly impressed. First, while unboxing, it springs out quickly and begins inflating. There was an extremely mild chemical smell that disappeared within hours, and the mattress subsequently has had no smell. As somebody who's very fragrance sensitive, this was a big win immediately. I gave it 36 hours to rise before use. It is extremely firm in the best way - edge support is as good as any mattress I've tried, feels like I'm sitting on a wooden chair. The mattress itself while on my back or side gives great support with almost no give. It's almost too firm, but I imagine it'll break in over the course of a few weeks. I'm 5'10 180lb with a good amount of muscle and a sore back so anything with sink causes me pain, while this matress does not. It is also extremely cool, which is somehow magic to me. Memory foam is usually pretty bad at keeping cool and I sleep very hot, but I have had an issue with staying cool on this mattress even with a thick comforter which has usually not been the case. Overall I am extremely impressed so far. The 365 day trial also instills a lot of confidence in the purchase. I'll update this review a year later to see how the mattress has held up but for the price I wouldn't even mind if I had to buy one every few years ... show more

Now I have a bad back and I was afraid this would not be firm enough but it is. It is comfortable not too hard. Only bad thing is that it has lingering oder that takes a while to get rid of. I think it is worth the price.

The first night was just getting used to a new mattress, but it’s been 2 weeks and I honestly really love this mattress. It’s firm. I’m a 300lb man and I’m comfortably supported and wake up more rested. Edge support is great, and all bed activities are better on here if you know what I mean.

I bought 2 of these mattresses..one king and one queen. We have been sleeping on them for about 30 days now and are very pleased with the comfort level. We don't wake up feeling like we've been beaten up. Very comfortable and very pleased. The customer service from the company is also excellent. We had a hiccup with the delivery (not the fault of the company) and they were extremely helpful and accommodating and very quick with response.
