This was priced a little high but that’s everything these days. I love it and would purchase it again. Seems like it will hold up when washed but if not I’ll write a follow up review. I have a deep mattress and it fits great didn’t need any help putting it on. I feel like it does have a cooling effect. I live in miserable Florida where it’s always hot and humid so anything helps.

It is as described. I am a human furnace and I can feel the cooling effect, especially when I move. I don't know if the loft of the larger-than-expected areas of quilting make for cool clouds, standing by to give relief when touched, or what, but it is welcome in my bed, always. The fit is great. I appreciate (I am a Gentleman's Tailor) the fabric used to skirt the mattress. My mattress has a 2" topper and the fit is like a glove. My percale sheets do not have an issue with the cover's top fabric, or skirting, when being made, or while I sleep. This is a love affair worth the search-and-find. Do look around before you spend as this is sold by different people with different profit curves. I found a $14 differential (2 purchased, 1 returned) before I finally made my bed.

We bought a new mattress and while trying to put on our old mattress pad, it ripped. This mattress pad fits our 12 inch mattress with some room so it would probably fit a taller mattress. It is soft but stays on the bed without shifting. We live in South LA and this topper does not cool but I did not buy it for that purpose. I washed and dried the pad per the directions but not all of the way. I draped it over our sofa with the ceiling fan on which finished drying the damp spots. It sounded crinkly when I took it out of the packaging and dryer but it does not make any noise on our bed.
