So no I’ve been sleeping on a big squishmellow stuffed animal because I haven’t been able to find a pillow that won’t leave me waking up with a headache and neck pain. This pillow is amazing and has the same feel as the squishmellow stuffed animal I was using except now I feel like an adult. This was such a great buy. This pillow arrived nicely packaged and rolled tightly into a zippered bag. It expanded to the full loft in about 45 minutes and with some “massage”. The cover is gusseted and removable. The cover I received had an extra loop from the stitching, see photo. But this was easily cut off. You can open the pillow to add or remove stuffing. I really liked this feature as everyone has different firmness needs. I would have like the bag for the extra foam to be slightly larger (not more foam) and be resealable. I found removing some of the filling worked best for me and the bag for the extra was already so full I had nowhere to put the portion I removed nor was there a way to reseal this bag once opening. This is easily resolved with a plastic zip closable bag. I have another name brand shredded foam pillow. I prefer the smaller shredded pieces in this new pillow as I can’t feel the “chunks” and it is easier to form to your desired firmness and shape. My biggest complaint is this pillow has a terrible smell when first in use. This is difficult to overcome as your nose is on the pillow during sleep. I placed it in the dryer with a scented sheet to help but it took 4-5 days before the smell was completely gone. ... show more

When the product shipped, it was flat which was very interesting to see. The package included instructions on how to allow it to expand naturally- it takes 24-48 hours. My family member pointed out some loose threads on the side, but overall the pillow top is very soft and sides appear to vent. Once expanded, it is soft yet firm. The company graciously provides extra fill for you to add or remove for your desired comfort and preference. There is also an included carry case for your convenience. This is a quality product and I have used it on my bed since purchasing for sleeping and lounging, often switching between this pillow and a lighter/softer one. This pillow is absolutely fantastic. The packaging was impressive. It was such a small bundle and then when you open it the pillow slowly fills out. You get extra stuffing with the pillow so you can add to it. It is a very comfortable pillow and feels very well made.

I have 4 other makes of shredded memory foam pillows to compare this pillow with. I ordered a king Sleep Foundation pillow but received a queen. I can still use the pillow, so that has no bearing on this review. The well constructed 60% polyester/40% bamboo cover is the best thing about this pillow. It’s exceptionally nice and is breathable with a pillowcase. The cover is described as “bamboo-infused”. I’m not sure what that means in this case. To me, “bamboo-infused” means that the fabric fibers have been imbedded with bamboo charcoal. This would offer numerous benefits over the use bamboo fibers alone and might explain why the pillow is said to be made to be slept on directly without a pillowcase. But, since there’s no mention of bamboo charcoal, which I would think would be a selling point, I assume in this case that bamboo-infused means that both bamboo and polyester fibers were used to make the fabric. The comfort level of this pillow for me is average. Sleeping on it over night is fine in the sense that I don’t wake up with a stiff neck or shoulders, which is a plus, but it’s not the most comfortable pillow I own. The pillow, out of the box, was reasonably comfortable when lying on my back. But, as a side sleeper, through trial and error, I ended up using the entire bag of extra foam to get enough support. Using all the extra foam starts out being quiet comfortable, but within an hour or so, the foam flattens out and needs to be fluffed up again to regain the proper support. The filling of this pillow is different than my four other pillows. This pillow has loose, fluffy white polyester filling mixed in with the shredded foam which may account for why it’s significantly softer than my other pillows. My four other shredded memory foam pillows only have foam. That fluffy stuff adheres to everything if you happen to get it on other fabrics. It can also easily get jammed into the zipper. Some of this fluff was stuck in the zipper when I got the pillow and had a terrible time trying to get it out so I could unzip the casing. I also had to make sure to keep it out of the way of the zipper when closing the casing back up. When comparing the foam with a pillow that I find exceptionally comfortable, I found that the foam in this pillow is quite spongey. a single piece of foam from this pillow when compressed between my finger tips, springs back rather quickly. With the other pillow, the foam returns slowly to its original shape, the way I expect memory foam to behave. Pillows are a matter of personal preference, and although I find this one perfectly acceptable for sleeping, it isn’t my go-to pillow. That said, I’m sure for many it might be. ... show more
