    • Good sleep headphones for slide sleepers for the money.
I purchased these headphones because I recently had to move back into a student living style apartment where I now have 3 roommates after living in my own place for years. My job has me working different hours all the time and sometimes I have to be up a 4:30 AM for work. Safe to say young college guys aren't known for their consideration, so I bought these to help me get some sleep on nights when they are making too much noise. Overall, I would say for $20 these are pretty good sleep headphones. I have never owned a pair of headphones like this before so I don't really have anything to compare them to, but they get the job done at night and are perfect for playing whatever you like to listen to while you go to sleep. My main concern when buying these was that I would be able to sleep on my side when they were on and still be comfortable. While you can feel them a little when laying on your side, it is minimal, and compared to trying to sleep with an earbud inside your ear or something this is much more comfortable. My main cons with this product would probably be that the volume overall doesn't get very loud, and depending on the size/shape of your head these may or may not slide off your head in the middle of the night. There is also not much noise cancellation, but I suppose that can't be helped since these earbuds don't actually go inside your ear. Also, the buttons to control everything are pretty bulky and can sometimes get into an uncomfortable position and press on the bridge of your nose. I have a pretty big nose though, so this could be a personal issue for me. Overall though for $20, I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone who is looking for an affordable option to listen to white noise or their favorite podcast etc. while they go to sleep at night.     • Surprisingly comfortable, good battery life
I get very hot at night, and I am very sensitive to things in/around/pressing on my ears, so I was very hesitant at the idea of sleep headphones to begin with, but I was having such success with playing my school lectures on my phone while I slept, I wanted to give it a try (the fan could drown out the phone on the nightstand sometimes). This is much lighter than I expected, and hasnt caused me any extra heat at all--it doesn't have any padding around the eyes but I still pull it down over my eyes and don't use my separate sleep mask anymore, as this makes my face far less hot. The headphones are almost inaudible unless you get them aligned right up to your ears, which I prefer honestly, and while laying on the little discs isn't always the most comfortable, its personally more comfortable for me than earbuds and isn't uncomfortable enough to hinder sleep. It's even washable, which is great, even if getting the electronic components back into the headband afterwards is a pure nightmare, so you can't wash it that often unless you want to deal with that regularly (I do not). It connects easily to my phone, I just wish it had an auto-disconnect feature or button because if I take it off in the middle of the night, all sound from my phone still goes through the headphones--including phone calls and anything else--until I manually disconnect it. Not a big deal, or even an annoyance so much as a desired improvement. The only thing I've had issue with is I'm a supermobile sleeper, and there are prev and next controls on the headband--so if you turn at the exactly right (or wrong, in this case) angle, you can accidently start suddenly fast forwarding whatever you're hearing or skip it entirely. Super disorienting and startling if you're on the edge of sleep. Still, overall, this has improved my sleep quality tenfold, even when not actively using the headphone feature. Just make sure to plug it in when you get up as you can't use it while it's charging, and if it plays audio consistently all night you can maybe get 2, 2.5 full nights out of it before it fully dies. Also: I specifically wanted something that was NOT noise canceling as I need to be able to still hear my surroundings in order to sleep comfortably--this lets you hear sound from your headphones and does NOT hinder your hearing your environment, which to me is a plus but if you're looking for noise canceling, look elsewhere. ... show more

    • Comfortable to sleep in
I got these a few months ago to use while I sleep because I often sleep better with background noise. Reviews varied a bit on whether they were comfortable to sleep in. The first night or two I used them they weren't as comfortable as I hoped but I could move the earpieces to sit on my ears in a more comfortable spot. I quickly got used to them though and it doesn't bother me at all. I love these sleep headphones. They have held up well so far and have been great for helping me sleep. I generally charge them every day but if I forget and it shuts off it doesn't wake me up. There are two things that aren't ideal but not deal breakers. One is that a lot of the background noise i use will be softer so I will turn up my volume so I can hear it (I dont have this problem with things like spotify) if I accidentally max my phones volume when turning it up the headphones will make an earsplitting beeping noise. But only if I max my volume, so it doesn't happen often. The other issue may just be luck of the draw but the charger that plugs into the cord on the inside of the headband got stuck when I put them together the first time. I tried everything I could think of to pull them apart without breaking it to no avail. So I folded the cord up and tucked it in the back where the hole is and gave it a try. Occasionally I will have to adjust it so it isn't sitting uncomfortably on the back of my head/neck but most nights I don't even notice the extra cord length. I guess I don't risk losing the changing cable this way. Bottom line i would recommend it to anyone looking for affordable headphones like this and I would get it again.
