I was in VRChat and I just got a black screen and that was it, depending on the position the cable still had visual but that only lasted like 10 minutes. I am now looking for a replacement made by another brand. They gave a replacement, cool xd

This was exactly what I needed. I suspected the cable was causing issues with my Vive's display. I was worried it was the headset, but after I bought this it works perfectly now! I am much more careful of the cable. My original cable got pinched by my desk chair a few times, so that must have been the cause of the issue.     • Will not last, has HDMI issues
The cord eventually had an issue connecting my HDMI to my GPU. As noted by recent reviews, the cord has a maximum life capacity of 2 months. Evidence of the cord being the issue at hand is when I began to move the cord around, my headset disconnected each time. I have also tried using another cord to ensure the headset was not the issue and BOOM..the cord was the issue. DO NOT BUY! ... show more

UPDATE : The flat cables are available again ! Just go for them and don't order directly from HTC ever again, this old-school like version of the 3-in-1 cable just lasts muuuch longer than any "round" cable either from HTC or another brand. It's just a more resistant design. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Owning a VR center, and the official Vive cables being very fragile, we tend to change them very often. After deciding to stop altogether with the official brand, I first bought a bunch of the first version of these cables, in a first version similar to the old official Vive cable, 3-in-1 but each cable next to another in a "flat" way. (Cable on the left on the picture) That first version was perfect in the way that the cable would coil less easily and thus preveting internal damage on either the HDMI or the USB cable inside. By switching to a version similar to the official one (cable on the right on the picture), they also adopted their flaws, and now they break just as easily. I would really wish to have the choice to buy the old ones again ! ... show more

works great, solid quality. this is my second cable purchase - first bought the replacement wire around 2019, when my original htc vive cable stopped working (bought the OG vive in late 2018). the replacement cable lasted a good 2 something years. just started using this one around nov last year. so far so good! item was packaged well and arrived fast in mint condition. would buy again when this one decides to break. ... show more
