everything was packaged well and shipped rapidly without incident - I guess - I had to replace my projector but the seller was Johny on the spot and shipped a new one even more rapidly - I had a couple connection issues with the skytrak device but that has been fixed now - there is an annual charge but with the additional courses bundled I think its worth it - playing inside out of the rain is a bonus here in the great PNW - upper left of course!

It took a few days for me to set up and really get it going perfectly. I was first up and running in about 4 hours. That includes setting up the tent, purchasing and downloading the new course s/w that includes Pebble Beach, and configuring the networking to get the SKYTRAK+, computer, and WiFi in sync. However, it was far from perfect. Multiple boxes arrived w/o instructions. Some big boxes had multiple boxes inside them. I got on YouTube but those instructions zoomed by the tent setup so fast they were useless. I finally figured it out on my own. Later I found all the instructions I needed on the SKYTRAK web site. Would have been great if they had referred me there in the first place. I used my new iPad Pro with an M4 chip. It turned out to be far underpowered and the app crashed all the time. I had to continually reboot the SKYTRAK and restart the app. I then bought a Lenovo Gaming PC from Best Buy with twice the PC minimum recommendation which turned out to be an I9 chip, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD, and a great Nividia GPU. $1,149 on sale. That solved everything and the entire system works better than I could imagine. With the iPad Pro (with the fastest chip they make, the M4), you hit the ball and waited for a response wondering if you would get one or wondering if it was going to crash again. With this new PC, it’s instantaneous. My friends love to play on it and all agree it’s extremely accurate. We usually allow for putting and a gimme within 10’ (configurable) understanding that the putting is the least accurate but does add a lot of fun since the green hints let you know the lay of the green. Having played the real Pebble in September, the course is exactly how I remember it. This is one of 30 courses along with practice ranges I bought for $200/year from the SKYTRAK web site. Other learnings were to use only black plastic tees, understanding their is a 3” ball placement around the laser dot (wedges 2” to the left of the dot, driver 1” to the right, irons on the dot), use only a white ball with good logos and markings for the camera to see, good lighting over the hitting area, and other misc things learned through various message boards. Also ‘chatting’ with the SKYTRAK support team was very helpful. They were always ‘on’ and answered all my questions right away. Like I said it took a few days to get it perfect and now it really is. I give it a 4.5 stars only because it didn’t work on my M4 iPad Pro and I had to get this gaming PC. But at the Amazon price and buying the PC, it’s still half of what my buddy bought his for a year ago. I’m now ecstatic especially with winter just arriving, and if you have the patience, you will too.

Bought the simulator from Amazon through SkyTrak Golf right out of the box there was a problem with the closure got a conflict resolution number 10 days ago. Tried to set up an account they can’t recognize their own ESN number. So no account!! Was informed by sky track that they would give me an adjusted refund for the sales price if I would close the case on the refund which I did, no response!! it pains me to do this negative of a review for such a good product but their customer service needs a lot of help I would be glad to revisit this review if sky track would get it together

There was literally no written instructions other than how to get online and when you get online, it was very difficult to find clear instructions, especially regarding the assembly and installation of the projector. There are literally zero instructions on YouTube concerning the assembly of the projector. All in all it was a difficult assembly.

After twisting myself in knots trying to piecemeal a simulator together, I decided to give this a whirl. I liked that it had everything in one package, all I needed was a dedicated desktop PC to run it (my preference.) Assembly was pretty straightforward although the instructions leave a lot to be desired. You have to figure your way through a few steps when it comes to hanging the enclosure but it will be apparent if you did it wrong. I like that it comes with the add-on suite of 30 courses to play. I decided to run with these for a year before looking into other options like GSPro that need some handling to install. The graphics are nice. The training modules are good in the feedback provided, allowing you to work on specific clubs. I don't like that it under-reports distances. I'm not a long-ball hitter, my average is usually 220-230 but with this sim I rarely break 200. My driver gets me 180 on average. I've played around with the monitor placement, different colored balls and lighting, all to no avail. I now club up for each shot, which is frustrating. I think it also exaggerates pushes/slices/hooks because I don't normally slice my drives. I did need to contact tech support for assistance with connecting to my network as their help documents were incorrect. Other than that we've played a dozen rounds already. It's fun for the family and allows me to work on better ball contact, as long as you don't care about distance (which is a thing that does need to be cared about, unfortunately.)

Do not waste your money on this. The entire experience has been a disaster. The enclosure comes with no directions and fell apart in two weeks. The skytrak plus itself is ok but misses a lot of shots. The materials are cheap and all come from China. The worst is their customer service which is impossible to reach. Also the software it comes with is a joke. Don’t waste your money . I just want to update this review and add that the optima projector has now failed. It will not turn on. I can’t get any answer or help with returning it.
