  • Let your imagination run with it!
Color: Sky Isle Black
The Purple Conch Sky Isle Stereo delay is a high quality delay unit with 9 modes but it takes it to another lever with its stomp switch enhancement. The 9 modes are Tape, Analog, Digital, Ping Pong, Modulate, Reverse, Galaxy, Liquid and Swell. Of the 9 modes only “Ping Pong” is true stereo, of course the other modes will be on both left and right channels but they will not auto pan like “Ping Pong”. All nine modes can be altered by way of the Repeat, Time, Warp, Mix and tone. The tap tempo feature of the stomp button allows you to adjust the tempo but not just that, it adds ambience to the sound taking it above other pedals. The Warp, Tone along with the Tap Tempo makes this pedal very versatile for shaping your sound. The Stomp Switch gives you the option of “Bypass”, which is straight through unaffected sound or “Trail Mode”, which is the fade off of the effect into the sound of the guitar. The pedal is very well made and works very straight forward so it is easy to master its features. I have not experienced any added noise from it which tells me that this circuit is a high quality circuit and it is priced perfect for how much is packed into it! The stomp switch action is smooth, the knobs move well and all the jacks plug in solid with no resistance. This pedal is great and it took me a while to review because there so much potential to explore with it! ... show more

  • Produces Some Great Tones
Color: Sky Isle Black
This pedal has been a great addition to my setup. It is versatile and has depth of sound that I can use it on its own. However, I enjoy pairing it with other pedals like amp sims doublers, or even stack with a different delay. The case or metal and the footswitch is durable. I can have it on and my signal remain completely silent. It offers nine great options for delay effects, each of which can be customized with the Repeat, Time, Tone, and Warp knobs. The Swell is the one I end up using most often. Some of the effects are fun but overall it delivers some good and very useable tones. For the quality and the range and depth of sounds and effects that it offers, I find that it is a good value and worth the money . ... show more

  • Pretty happy with this pedal
Color: Star Trail Blue
I hoard reverb pedals, and this is a pretty good one. I feel like I haven't unlocked its full potential yet, but that's the nature/fun of any pedal, especially one with this many options. I play goth stuff, surf stuff, and I mess around with heavy-reverb ambient. This pedal helps feed those beasts. Is the spring setting as good as my physical spring tank? No, but it's better than the setting on my modeling amp. All the settings are, actually. I haven't been able to try the stereo features, unfortunately. And I don't understand the freeze function, but that's a me problem and hasn't impacted my review. Big pedal, solidly built, with smooth knob and stomp button action. The only reason I dropped a star is that some settings feel kinda digital/processed. They ARE digital, obviously, but I mean, some other brands' pedals have a little more depth and richness. This is a purely subjective thing based more on sensation than anything I can really articulate, but that's gonna be the nature of an individual's review of an audio product. All in all, though, this is a whole lot of pedal for the price. Oh, and it's really pretty, looks great on my pedalboard. ... show more

  • Solid Reverb Pedal with Freeze Function
Color: Star Trail Blue
I have been using this reverb pedal with freeze function for a few weeks now with my Peavey XXL amp. I do not use a lot of pedals since my amp has three modes and a built in reverb, but I wanted something better with more spacey options. It has a cool warm spacey sound that you can tweak to be a normal reverb or something more ambient. I really like how unique it is compared to other pedals I have used. You can dial in some really cool spacey sounds. The freeze function is neat as it holds the last chord or note played, which could be useful for some creative stuff even if I have not used it much yet. All the controls are straightforward just like any other pedal. The build quality is solid and durable. It feels like it will hold up well for gigging. It is true bypass and works as expected with no hum or buzz. I have had no noise issues or signal loss at all. Overall I am happy with it and have had no issues so far. ... show more

  • Excellent Ambient Effects Pedal
Color: Sky Isle Black
I've been really impressed with this reverb pedal so far. It covers a surprisingly wide range of sounds, from subtle ambience to huge atmospheric washes, and the freeze feature opens up some creative possibilities that are a lot of fun to experiment with. The controls are easy to figure out without constantly reaching for the manual, and it's simple to dial in usable sounds quickly. The pedal itself feels well made, with solid construction and smooth controls, and the artwork gives it a boutique look that stands out on a pedalboard. It also plays nicely with drive pedals and stays remarkably quiet even with more extreme settings. For the price, it feels like a lot of pedal and has quickly become one of my favorite ambient effects. I also like the artwork and, while it's slightly wider than some of some standard pedals still doesn't take up too much room. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Lovely ambient reverb and delay (I got both)
Color: Star Trail Blue
I like to use the word 'spacey' to describe these pedals because to me, they give some rather spacey sounds. It is a great reverb and delay on the surface that can provide your standard run of the mill reverb and delay tones, which is nice. However, they really shine if you are a guitarist/bassist that wants to play around in the ambient tonality that is starting to grow in popularity. These things can really give you some wild "out there" tones. I love these pedals, and have been using with a drum machine to achieve some pretty wild stuff. I love the fact that the pedals are stereo, hence the use with the drum machine, since it utilizes both a left and right out. Overall, I am extremely pleased with both pedals. ... show more
