This speaker is styled to be a small party speaker. Lights and the ability to play multiples in wireless fashion are good things. However, the bad or mediocre aspects ruin the fun and make this not a very good option for this type of speaker. First issue is bass performance. This speaker doesn't do well with bass heavy music and can get some distortion. There is no bass option on this speaker, nor is there any app support, which is a big oversight by Skullcandy. Even smaller brands now offer apps for their speakers. Overall volume isn't that loud, even at max volume. Taking this outside will likely result in you wishing the speaker could deliver more volume. The speaker's overall sound is also a bit flat and lacking in detail and clarity. It's a mono speaker, so just a single woofer and tweeter. The Stomp being a party style speaker would probably have you assuming it has included wireless microphones or at the very least, a couple of microphone jacks so you can use your own mics for karaoke. Sadly, this isn't the case. Another big oversight by Skullcandy to not include a karaoke option. So all in all, this is a very basic speaker with mediocre bass performance, no app support, lacking in clarity and output and no ability to do karaoke. Skullcandy also has their new boombox style speaker available for close to the same price, but it performs better. If you have to buy a Skullcandy speaker, get the Barrel, not the Stomp. If you want something for karaoke, get something else entirely. ... show more
