Ive only bought Skullcandy headphones since 2009. I switched to beats about 3 years ago to see what the hype was about. Beats are fantastic, but sadly they no longer hold a good charge after constant heavy use in the gym and at work. I needed a good replacement and these earbuds knock it out of the park. Great sound quality, affordable price, excellent build quality, all day battery life, great call quality. Small and sleek charging case, AND customizable controls as well as a customizable equalizer?! What else can you ask for? I tried twice. The first pair I got sound amazing and the app is fantastic. The ability to create a custom EQ is great. Unfortunately, this pair had a battery life problem... specifically, the right earbud drained extremely quickly. In fact, you could watch it drain. About every 10 seconds the percentage indicating 'charge' would go down by about 5%. Over the course of an hour long walk, the right earbud drained and stopped working in about 35 minutes. I contacted Skullcandy support and they said to return for a replacement. I got the second set and again, they sound amazing. These, however, had a problem as well. In this set, the battery life is fine, but the left earbud's sound cuts out very frequently. Over the course of an hour long walk, the dropout occurred about 40 times (Yes I counted). The drop varied in length from about a half a second to a full 2 seconds. In frustration, I ordered a pair of Anker Soundcore P20i earbuds, which cost $20, and they sound just as good and have neither the battery or the cutout issue. This is a huge bummer... I hate to return things but after 2 tries with Skullcandy I have to assume at least this model of earbuds are not of sufficient quality. ... show more

My first pair was a dud. One wouldn't charge Skullcandy wanted me to jump through all kinds of hoops to replace. Luckily, Amazon chat had it taken care of in a couple of minutes with a replacement sent and an easy return of the old pair The sound quality and levels are the best I've had in an earbud. This goes for music and podcasts. Perfect for my need doing yard work and needing to hear it over the leaf blower and lawn mower. They fit nice and snug in the ear, which is a relief when moving around a lot. The battery life is LONG. I listen with my earbuds all day long, many days. 7-8hrs and have yet to find their dying point. My only issue is the no-click buttons. This means they are super sensitive to the touch if you have to adjust them in your ear at all. Please go back to the click buttons! They annoyingly, like all Skullcandy I've had so far, connect to my phone even when I'm the case. Don't know what to do about that, because their idea of changing the language and changing it back doesn't work. ... show more

All worked well until about 4 month after purchase and then the right ear bud stopped working. It charges, but does not work. Due to my line of work, it makes it hard to send back and exchange, as I travel a lot for work and do not visit US that often, but I would have liked to return them.
